I’m not sure that anyone here is saying that “whatever meditative experience” they had “needed Osho’s physical presence” – I’m not saying that anyway.
Vartan makes a good point, which I’d like to develop by […]

My information is that he was a full (in a way, a ‘fool’!) professor at Jabalpur for around 7 years.
Perhaps someone can provide incontrovertible evidence, either way?

Yes, there was a lot of that purely emotional stuff, no doubt about it. In fact, only yesterday online I came across a similar happening around Paul Mc Cartney, when he was simply rehearsing in a deserted theatre. […]

I have no idea! Does anyone?
However, a very good read is at Oshoworld, under the heading ‘Professor at Jabalpur university’ (or something like that).

Point of information, Fresch:
Osho WAS a Professor of Philosophy. Briefly, here’s the relevant facts:
Following graduation in 1957, he accepted a position as an assistant professor of philosophy at Raipur […]

Shantam, you declare:
“Even the Gardener of a guru cannot grow tomatoes under the ground.
Because Osho as an Indian master has got western disciples in majority, so they owe the burden of feeding elephant feeder […] -

Well, if anything was ever a finer example of ‘projection’ then I’ve yet to hear about it!
The problem is, you misunderstand the nature of ‘as above, so below’, Shantam. It’s not that the stars etc. are […]

“Stars and galaxies” are run by their emotions, ie by their past, eh, Shantam? You mean they’re ‘personal’, just like us? Well, you coulda fooled me, man!
But what a wonderful way to excuse being totally […]

Agreed, phoenix. And I’m sure both the possibilities you cite (last parag.) apply to quite a few of us.
The problem arises when we don’t take responsibility ourselves and lapse into chronic blame, enjoying […]

Preetam, if you can see the ‘oppressive authority’, the greed, the wish to control, the selfishness etc. etc. in your ‘self’ then I might agree there might be some point in your apparent obsession with ‘what’s […]

Preetam, it’s just ‘the world’ running its course, as it probably always has done and probably always will.
If you’re determined to focus on such externals – in this case wilfully misinterpreting them – then […]

What exactly is the point of this photo, Preetam? It shows the British king & queen at the site of a German air-raid during the last world war, showing solidarity with the local people.
They, too, would have been […]

Thanks, Arpana – at first glance I rather like them as well. Never heard of him until now.

Yes, master Shantam, I was including Arpana and many others here, all really, including even you (note the ‘ ‘ around ‘met’).
As for your last sentence – very good, probably the best laugh I’ve had today!

Yes, but rather a HUGE difference, isn’t there?
We’ve ‘met’ Osho in the flesh…We can only imagine and project on to Jesus…
Osho left us 24 years ago, Jesus spoke his last words over 2000 years ago…
Osho is […] -

(*Slang phrase meaning sexually aroused).

These days it’s known as ‘bigging yourself up’, Shantam, in this case, by association.
A common enough trait, I suppose, eg football fans boasting about how ‘big’ their club is!
Once you see through it, it’s […]

As I said yesterday, Fresch, I see certain negative aspects of my ‘self’ in Dominic, which might well be a significant part of why I have a go at him.
And as I’ve also stated, my view is he doesn’t see straight, […]

Sure, Dominic has a sense of humour, he also has a certain literary talent, he can be very entertaining.
But my point is he’s often enough using all that as a sort of smokescreen that hides where he’s really […]

Do you think we’re a load of naïve idiots, here to be taken in by others’ ‘self’-serving […]
