    Hi Jay,
dont feel we disagree here. Just obviously the path to full commune membership varied from continent to continent.
The commune people, yes, did know me a bit already, I had been a ”worker” a couple of times in Pune one and worked in the London centre at the time called Kalptaru. But no official status in either.
    Personally I thought the…[Read more]

  • My experience was as a full commune European Member. I was moved around at the commune’s expense and in one case where they clearly had a job they wanted me to do, and which no-one in Hamburg seemed much taken to. I had no private wealth at all, but quite a lot of work and [...]

  • Jay says and I reply to him in the next post “sorry to disagree with you parmartha. It wasn’t as simple as you say, being a full fledged member of the commune to get all the perks and benefits. I got most of the benefits and perks when i lived on the ranch, and only [...]

  • Nirman you say: “I also heard that there were exchange programs where sannyasins and sannyas kids from one commune could go to live at another one for things like meditation or therapist trainings, work-as-meditation programs, or children’s education. From what I have read and heard it seems that there was a sense of a large [...]

  • Somehow this great poem of Madhuri triggers something all on the Caravanserai might have felt…. ? “Will You Go To India This Year?” Yesterday I was in India. It still crowds at my shoulders, jostles behind me. It cranks me up towards panic, and I grow thinner. Panic at half the speed is thrill. Yesterday [...]

  • Sorry Martin,
one thing you realise as time goes by is in the true spiritual life you cannot retire and cannot take holidays. I hear from “sources” that your whole life has been “one long holiday”, so the corrective is now in force!
    Big P.

  • More than one Keerti has posted at sannyasnews.
This Keerti is Chaitanya Keerti. The quote you gave R.P. does not ring true to me. Reference please.

  • Thanks Lokesh. I suppose I would say in my defence that Osho himself spoke a fat book called “Beyond Enlightenment” in as I recall 1986 – just a year after the Ranch denoument, which must have given him some thought about the “enlightenment” tag, and to somehow undermine it. I see enlightenment as a Buddhist [...]

In reply to: alokjohn posted an update in the group Osho and Libya: The press said NATO ran 20,000 bombing sorties against Libya. Yes twenty thousand. Now Tripoli has black outs and water shortages. This is what happened […] View

I think Libya has and will become a version of Somalia. A country without a real central government and torn apart, not really a country at all.
These people who replace Gadefi are basically Jihadists and Monarchists. In addition I dont think they have “won” like the press keep repeating. The Gadaefi people will not dissapear overnight. So the…[Read more]

  • I dont see Alok, that Keerti is trying to create a religion. But I do think that, perhaps inadvertently, Arun (Osho Tapoban) is – someone who you have been on record as admiring.

  • Shantam – trust you to come up with this. The Resort management cannot be deposed, if it is not meant to be it will wither away in the end. And should it do so, then there are clearly sincere people like Keerti to carry on. The obsession with a single place and single acerage of [...]

  • What Osho himself actually thought of the Celebration days could be said to be revealed by this splendid anecdote I just read from Santosh Toby: “OK, here’s a little story y’all might enjoy. Near the end, the JG girls got their panties all atwist because during one talk the Infallible Master had mistakenly referred to [...]

  • I found an old diary note from 1984 – Mahaparinirvana day, Sept 8th – supposed to mean a celebration for all neo sannyasins who have left their body, enlightened or unenlightened. Not sure if that is the meaning still given? The Indian sannyasins still keep up these celebrations, maybe one of them could enlighten me [...]

  • History and meaning of this celebration. Present validity?

  • I met Sally Belfrage at a party in a sannyas squat in the old days. I thought she was chatting me up, but disappointed later to find out that she was probably just using me as a research object though she did have some genuine sannyasin friends. She wrote a book called ‘Flowers of Emptiness’ [...]

  • Another parallel myth Satyadeva is about synchronicity. I dont know how many times I have heard things like someone will turn up just at the right moment, etc, for some new lesson to be learned, or some new lover to occur! – it will be somehow organised by the “Existence”. Also that the “Master” will [...]

  • “Osho’s real teaching had nothing to do with words and that is something copyright laws will never be able to control.” Lokesh. Yes I agree with this Lokesh. I did know a few people in Pune one who had never read a single Osho book, etc, but they seemed to me closer to the heart [...]
