  • Thanks for the longer list Jay. I think it is a very moot point whether “evolution” can be said to have occurred with the human species.

  • Nothing very complicated here Frank. Just there are those with delusions of grandeur that find a way beyond them (as Dharmen indicates elsewhere – they become ordinary).
But there are those who (like most human […]

Pity about this Frank, but it’s wish fulfillment.
Where was the existence when Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot needed to be “yinyanged” into shape. The existence is […]

  • This 15 minutes is worth a look. I partook of these type of groups in the seventies…. I buy the view that in Pune they were somehow protected by being in a Buddhafield. But could imagine those who come raw to such footage might be perplexed.

Thanks Frank. Heard of the book often but never took a look. Will try and find a copy. Therapy, in the way I am talking about it, is a voluntary relationship, so, as they say, it takes two to tango.

I am not really talking here about madness. There is certainly a sense in which the human condition is one of universal madness – agreed. I am talking of comparative vulnerability. I see no sense in a so-called therapeutic relationship which is abusive and kicks the weak. Such kicking is another form of weakness itself.
    When you talk of…[Read more]

    Alok, etc,
I have met at least five people who definitely should not have been exposed to Humaniversity therapy. one spends long periods in a mental hospital even now. I have also met a number of people who clearly seem to have benefited from it.
The Humaniversity may be a degree more professional now, but it clearly needs to be much more careful…[Read more]

  • I remember being in discourse with Osho in Oregon when he spoke these words below. I remember feeling at the time an enormous shift, though even now I could not fully define it. But it did mean to me then and now, that an “enlightened Master” could be mistaken and could own his mistakes.  And even [...]

  • There is a question of formal private daily meditation or practice done alone and bespeaking one’s own connection between God and you. Basically a Buddhist precept. The main problem with this to me is it becomes a sort of mental hygiene on a daily basis, and there are many who find they cannot do without [...]

  • The last words of the late, much-lauded and much-quoted Steve Jobs have been revealed almost a month after the Apple co-founder died at the age of 56.

Jobs, who once memorably described death as “very likely the single best invention of life”, departed this world with a lingering look at his family and the simple, if mysterious, observation:…[Read more]

My insider on this was Usha who as you know was around Osho in the very early days in Bombay when Vivek got involved with Osho. She used to say it was all ridiculous this bit about Vivek being Osho’s caretaker. I myself thought it was self-evident.
However my point to Chetna is not undermined, there clearly were things that Osho himself, and/or…[Read more]

  • This all seems to be political chess by some Indian Sannyasins. They basically want to take over the Resort (Ashram) and spread rumours and stories convenient to their cause. Okay, so maybe Osho International has changed it’s mind, they should be pleased as it was this “sale” that they seemed so implacably opposed to. Let [...]

  • Chetna: Osho did leave some instructions as to how to progress his work. Unfortunately they never reached the public domain. However one of the instructions may have been that they should not reach the public domain! In his life he was always changing things, and old sannyasins are uniform about the fact that many things [...]
