Letter from Arun, the Founder of the Nepalese Buddhafield

Beloveds,
It has not been an easy time for us here in Nepal, and at Osho Tapoban. Nepal suffered an incredibly powerful earthquake on April 25 2015. This is the most powerful earthquake in the last 80 years in Nepal’s history. Through the grace of Osho,  Tapoban suffered only minor damage,  and no sannayasin was hurt in this calamity. There are over 75,000 sannyasins spread over Nepal and so far we have not heard of any news of any casualty or injury to them.

Slowly, Tapoban is returning back to its previous self. With great relief we are glad to inform you that after the inspection of seismology experts including the famous Ministry of Extreme Situation team from Russia, all buildings in Tapoban have received the green signal,  and are fully operable.
None of the buildings have suffered any structural damage and only require few rectifications and constructions of the partition walls that have fallen off.
The Welcome lounge at the reception is fully functional and is again thriving with guests, the reconstruction work of the Meeting room at Siddhartha Block has already started and will finish soon, the activities at the spa will start from the 8th of May.
The program at the Rajneesh Dhyan Mandir has resumed and is already facilitating all the daily six meditations sessions, Yoga and Saturday Satsang will also be conducted from the coming Saturday. Life at Tapoban is again back on track.
Of course our hearts are with the thousands of people who have suffered here and we understand that life will not be the same for those who have lost their homes and their loved ones. Our prayers are with them and their families.
To help the victims of the Earthquake, Osho Tapoban has opened the Osho Tapoban:Nepal Earthquake Relief Project and has been providing relief and health services to villages around Tapoban and also in the rural Gumdi Village in Dhading.  You can see our activities on our facebook page “Osho Tapoban : Nepal Earthquake Relief Project”

After every dark night the Sun rises again and we are fully confident that this beautiful country will very soon come back to being the beautiful Himalayan abode that it has been for centuries.
(It is also good news that the major tourist spots like Pashupatinath, Chitwan, Muktinath, Swayambu Nath, Bouddha, Pokhara, Janakpur and all the trekking routes are intact and tourists have again started arriving . )

We are looking forward to welcoming you in our beautiful Himalayan commune and assure you that you will receive the same love and at home feeling as you used to experience before. The 21 day Transformation Intensive monthly package will also be conducted from the 1st of June and will happen every month,  and the regular no-mind, transformation camp and vipassana will take place as before.

We are eagerly waiting to welcome you with the same zeal and enthusiasm as before. See you in the Vipassana week that starts from the 15th of May.

With Love,
Swami Anand Arun

That´s good news from your side, Nepalese Sannyas Buddhafield.

I mean your contribution to those of Nepalese brothers and sisters who are less fortunate than you are.

    Happy to see your ´bus´.

    Love,

It is great relief that by the grace of our Beloved OSHO and Almighty, everything is normal. HIS Grace is super. We are your old sannyasins and met you in Manali, Ma Anand Poonam and Ramdev (Bansal).

We hope to see you soon.

    With lots of love.

Sure, Osho was directing proceedings in Nepal, making sure “HIS” ‘special’ people were specially protected.

Understandable to feel relief at getting out of such a collective catastrophe intact, but this sort of childish delusion beggars belief.

I can’t stand such self-consciously ‘spiritual’ people and their stupid ‘holier-than-thou’ baggage.
