Beloveds,
The (latest) Inner Circle message reminds me of the Iraq war when the then President Bush stood on an aircraft carrier with the message “Mission Accomplished.” We all know how that turned out.
I am pasting below the text of an article that will appear in the next issue of the Viha Connection. The OIF Board was reinstated, not on a permanent basis, but as a temporary move so that they can attend an October book fair and deal with publishers, which the Swiss Trustee can’t do.
Love,
Dhanyam
The Interim Swiss Decision
The Inner Circle recently sent out a message with excerpts from a decision of a Swiss government office that temporarily reinstates OIF board members. That message failed to report that the primary reason given in the decision for reinstating the OIF board members at this point in time was that a worldwide book fair will be held in October and that it is essential for the board members to be free to negotiate publishing contracts or the foundation will suffer irreparable financial harm and the trustee was unable to supervise this activity.
This injunction related only to the makeup of the OIF board while the complaint filed against the board members is in process. It was not a decision on the merits of the case, though comments were made about the merits. Robert Doetsch (Ramateertha), as the official complainant, has the right to appeal this reinstatement order within 30 days to the Federal Administrative Court in St. Gallen to challenge the reinstatement decision.
Ramateertha now has until October 13, 2014 to reply to the OIF board members’ reply to his complaint. (The IC mistakenly referred to this as an appeal.) After that the board members may be given another opportunity to reply. Ramateertha and the OIF board members may be given extensions to file these replies, so it is unclear when a final decision will be made. The Swiss office has reserved the right to require supervisions of the board members pending a final decision on the complaint.
Further disputes will include updated accusations of forgery of an “Osho will” to give Jayesh control over Osho’s assets, disputes about ownership of companies, the validity of several “loans” given and received by OIF, and so on.
At the moment OIF appears to be around $8 million in “debt” to Osho Multi Media Trust in Belize. The concern is that OIF will attempt to “settle” this “debt by claiming to transfer Osho’s intellectual property rights to an offshore Foundation where there would be no supervision of the board members’ treatment of Foundation assets.

Feels as though the ‘ Swiss Open ‘ is on here !
This fight over who the intellectual property rights belong to reminds me of a story Osho told in 1977 in Buddha Hall:
“A girl among the congregation became pregnant. Her severe father bullied her for the name of the lover, and in the end, thinking that if she said so she might escape punishment, she told him: “It is that Zen Master
Hakuin.”
The father said no more, but when the time came and the child was born he at once took it to him and threw the baby down. “It seems that this is your child.” And he piled on every insult and sneer at the disgrace of the affair.
The Zen Master only said: “OH, IS THAT SO?” and took the baby up
into his arms. Thereafter, during rainy days and stormy nights he would go out to beg milk from the neighbouring houses. Wherever he went he took the baby, wrapped in the sleeve of his ragged robe.
Now he, who had been regarded as a living Buddha, worshipped as a Shakyamuni, had fallen indeed. Many of the disciples who had flocked to him turned against him and left him. The Master still said not a word.
Meantime the mother found she could not bear the agony of separation from her child and, further, began to be afraid of the consequences in the next life of what she had done. She confessed the name of the real father of the child. Her own father, rigid in his conception of virtue, became almost mad with fear. He rushed to Hakuin and prostrated himself, begging over and over again for forgiveness.
The Zen Master this time too said only: “OH, IS THAT SO?” and gave him the child back.”

Is that so?
Well, it reminds me of two one-legged guys in an ass-kicking contest.
This is the right answer from a seasoned disciple.
kabir 420 should take notice. Without context, stories lose significance.
re.. “George Bush on a aircraft carrier”…
Yes,Dhanyam,we know how that ended up…
with the Sunniasins locked in combat with the Oshi`ites!
Have a lovely Jihad!
Ah yes, Belize. Been there a few times the reefs are a blast. Downtown Belize city is full of crack heads, not for the faint-hearted. People usually deposit funds in shady Belizian bancos when they are desperate and have a lot to hide. Profits showing!
My concern with the people in charge is that they are changing Osho’s words. Most of the books they publish are compilations, not complete books like when Osho was in the body. This is changing his teachings as this compilations are excerpts ,not the whole book. They are doing the same with the discourses on DVD.There were some compilations before, but very few and approved by Osho.
Mandiro,
Are you saying that your chance of ‘Enlightenment’ has been decreased because Osho’s words have been edited?
Can we have some hard evidence the Ashram managment are changing Osho’s words, because compilations are not changing Oshos words.
Also, given we have about 5000 Osho discourses available, pretty much all our reading, listening, watching is to a greater or lesser degree the creating of personal compilations.
Every Osho book I’ve ever read, only parts of it speak to me, another person, other parts speak to them, so we end up with these personal compilations of his words.
Belize sleaze indeed! Why am I not surprised?
I think if the OIF Mismanagement really kept true to the spirit of Osho’s wish that his movement should not degenerate into some kind of religion/cult, then they would allow everything to go out of print. What’s past is past…time to move on.
And while they’re at it, they should knock out the videos from the Evening Meeting as well.
No more ‘Last Testaments’, please!
