In reply to: Parmartha posted an update An annonymous poem I came across translated from the Anglo Saxon recently… yes some of those guys over a thousand years ago, maybe had short lives, but knew what’s what The Mystic’s […] ViewI’ve come across this poem before, in its original form, was quite impressed by it I recall…Perhaps for the purist it loses a bit in its linguistic ’update’, but still resonates through the centuries.
Nice how he uses the nature imagery to reflect his ’inner journey’…
Yep, nice one, Parmartha!

All very well saying “everything is a Zen koan”, no doubt a fascinating puzzle to ponder over, but another way of looking at it is that it’s simply very confusing and unhelpful.

If someone thinks they are finding some mystical meaning within some kind of relationship with a man who has been dead for over twenty years good for them. Each to their own. If I were in the same position, […]

Or is it that it’s simple, but not necessarily easy?

Sex when channelled correctly transforms into love….
Sounds fine, except that I don’t recall Osho actually teaching what this entails. It might not be as simple as it sounds?

I have no investment in appearing to fit the spiritual stereotype at all.
Nor has anyone else here, I expect, Arpana, so you’re not special in that respect.
Anyway, I guess each of us has to uncover the sources […]

If he’s got that much under your skin then might there be a lesson in this somewhere, perhaps?!
Activated any latent doubt, self-doubt, Arpana? Maybe not, only you know….

Lokesh has often expressed his gratitude to Osho here and I don’t think it’s necessarily after someone has “challenged” him, Arpana. Perhaps his criticisms are so hurtful to you that you forget this?
Anyway, you […]

Does it actually surprise you, Arpana, that “grand” people exist outside the comparatively little world of “Osho, meditation, or sannyas”?

Other possible explanations for Osho’s ‘peccadilloes’ :
An obvious one would be that he took the Laughing Gas at least partly to mask the physical discomfort he was suffering.
Another might be he was […]

Any chance, would you think, that Osho might have done all that ‘dubious’ stuff as a means to ‘keep himself in his body’, ie create gross-level diversions for his mind in order somehow to remain alive longer to […]

“Interesting”, perhaps, but surely not someone to revere as a significant spiritual teacher?

I’ve never understood this fascination for Crowley.
I mean, did he really have anything to offer suffering humanity? Or was he simply stuck in the dark psychic cul-de-sac of so-called ‘black magic’?

It would be helpful if you would list your sources for these statements, Preetam.
What about regimes such as those of Iran and North Korea, or Saddam Hussein’s Iraq, not forgetting China? Are they equally in […]

“Destructive” to all people then, not just jewish people? If so, why single out jews as his alleged major ‘victims’?
Apart from rejecting his ideas, are you suggesting that as a freemason he was necessarily […]

Karl Marx was himself a jew and whether he was anti-semitic is apparently open to question, not necessarily an established fact. You believe he was anti-jew, others don’t.
“Has with its incitement against Jews […]

Well, Rajni, I guess once we start thinking about ‘where we’re coming from’ we might well be more or less lost…

Is that “staring” or standing in the queue, Arpana (or maybe both?)?!
I guess that idea of “special places” etc. can be used to think oneself ‘special’, esp if there’s any misplaced ‘elitist’ notion involved, but […]
