A Crazy Commune

TEMPLE OF TOTAL RUIN

Bokhari (a Sufi mystic) said of his commune

There is no Kaaba

For Idiots to circle in,

and no grand mosque

in which  those with big egos simply speak nonsense

THIS COMMUNE IS FOR ME AND MY PEOPLE

AND IS A TEMPLE OF TOTAL RUIN

Inside are the drunk, from pre-eternity to the Judgement day,

gone entirely from themselves.

OSHO SAID

This is the last chance:

I may not meet you again.

You may not find a madman like me again.

Buddhas will be there always

but rarely a Buddha like me

who will accept

all kinds of crazy people

I think it was some post at Sannyas News. While reading that post, I came across, just like Forbes’s annual list of 100 richest people, the list of 100 spiritually influential people.

I have seen the names of first 20. To balance their faces, I went to the site showing kindgirls!

These 100 or 500 others are like physicians in the suburbs. Surely man like Osho is rare. The commune of a spiritual master is like an hospital dedicated to medical research.

In my eyes, less than that is unacceptable.

Breakthroughs Do Occur! I want to share a breaking news with my fellow Osho disciples.

Received the phone from Global Connection, Pune. Chairman of Osho Foundation International, Swami Jayesh has inquired, “Are you willing to do mediation between them and other Osho factions to end the circle of negativity?” Osho´s work has suffered immensely, therefore they want to start creative communication without going to courts.

I could not believe, really I could not believe.
When I asked, “How come they thought about me?” The spokesperson said, “They have seen a consistent creative criticism in my posts and that I have no personal vested interest or agenda.”

Thank you, Jayesh, for giving me a chance to do the work as meditation.

At last you got the recognition you deserve. ;-)

    • Parmartha says:

Note the date, Shantam, April 1st.
In the English speaking world this is a day when people play jokes on each other!

      • anand yogi says:

        Perfectly correct, Bodhiheeren!
You and the invisible readers are at last giving Shantambhai the recognition he deserves at precisely the correct moment in time!
Without his heroic work here on SN, Osho’s vision would certainly be dead as a dodo’s grandmother!

It is indeed impressive, Bodhiheeren, that one such as you and also Saadz, not born in the land of mighty Bhorat, can show such deep levels of mindlessness!

        How have you achieved this?

Have you felt the daily thud of marble to the head in time-honoured fashion, or as a westerner have you had to resort to psychoactive chemicals in order to eliminate the harmful brain cells and grey cells that create the rational mind which is nothing but mind?

Certainly, it has been a successful enterprise as your contributions to Sannyas News testify!

In you and Shantambhai, the West and the East have met perfectly!
Shantam has fried his brains on the western Soma and thanks to your efforts, your brain now also resembles a deep-fried psychedelic samosa with generous lashings of rainbow custard!

Bodhi Bhorat, it is absolutely necessary for you to keep battling these baboons who understand nothing of no-mind!

Take inspiration from the mighty Ramana Maharshi who, whilst still young, was a keen amateur boxer and one day was knocked out straight for 24 hours. When he awoke he coined the immortal catchphrase, “Who am I?”

The mind has to be beaten, battered, denied and knackered in the same way that the ancient sages of Rishikesh beat their vital organs with a stick!
These baboons on Sannyas News do not understand this and wave their mind organs around egoistically whilst the girls such as Kavita and Tan giggle and egg them on!

        It is a disgrace!

Please, Bodhiheeren, do something to stop this outrage!
The weight of the whole legacy may be on yours and Shantam’s shoulders!

Cheraiveti, cheraiveti…let your wisdom that comes from one with a mind who speaks of no-mind, like a turkey voting for Xmas, show the way on Sannyas News and may your squawkings guide these baboons, Judases and abc maharishis onto the truly mindless path that you are walking, and guide them home!

        • Tan says:

Yes, Yogi, I giggle and applaud, or better saying, I laugh and laugh…My love to you.

        • Prem Martyn says:

Yogi, it is truly amazing that you can write in a tone of sub-continental voice… which is a form of ventriloquism ideally suited to spiritual, verbal emissions and those ejaculations which have now hit Houthi Heeren directly on his awaiting empty-headed-ness.

You have obviously been exposed to many tongue-tricksters and so as to circumvent their obstructions you have developed a cunning stunt for inserting truth into even the most hidden recesses of their absent-mindedness and have it linger there, longingly.

No wonder the women here are humbly queueing for a tongue-tip-taste-of-your-typed-tao , without having to swallow any further, extended, nonsense.

As you have only humanity’s goodness at heart I would ask you to share your gifts and any telephone numbers obtained in your fan mail with those less blessed by the hand of Destiny, Verity or Janet.

          • anand yogi says:

            Perfectly correct, Prem Martyn!
It is no surprise that one such as myself or fellow VIPs and hairy Love-Chargers such as Gurmeet Insan Shantam should attract the interest of the fairer sex in the same way that the testicles of a hardcore hindu holyman sitting next to a temple tank at rainy season in mighty Bharat attract the attention of mosquitos!

It is the mystique of the mystic East that has been irresistible to the female of the gora species for yugas!
From the moment that Maharishi Mahesh Yogi cornered Mia Farrow in his cave and gave her a taste of the wisdom of mighty Bhorat, right up to Shantambhai following the traditions of the ancient sages of Rishikesh and religiously beating the appropriate organ night and day in front of his computer screen, the irresistible virility of the true men of Bhorat, not homosexuals, attired in their holy underwear, has never been in question!

    • Kavita says:

Shantam, didn’t you ask who is speaking on Jayesh’s behalf, or did you recognise the voice?

Btw, about the friends you mentioned earlier here, they have cancelled their trip to Swami Brahma Vedant; wondering what made the change of heart now!

      • shantam prem says:

        Kavita,
Talk with Jayesh´s agents was an April April!

Communication with dissidents does not happen everywhere, specially when meditation does the mutation, Anglo- Saxons become Russians with Indian names!

        • Kavita says:

Shantam, “specially when meditation does the mutation” – is your maiden over!

“Anglo-Saxons become Russians with Indian names!” – but this one is a bouncer!

  3. Lokesh says:

“This is the last chance”…isn’t that a saloon in the Wild West?
“I may not meet you again”…true.
“You may not find a madman like me again”…definitely.
“Buddhas will be there always”…good news.
“but rarely a Buddha like me”…debatable.
“who will accept”….many believe acceptance to be a master key.
“all kinds of crazy people”…one only needs to read El Chudo’s latest post to ascertain this.

  4. Parmartha says:

The Kaaba is the most holy site of Islam.
Anyway, good on Bokhari, what a brave man to ridicule this and the practice that surrounds it.
Trust a Sufi to question the faith and describe those who circle the Kaaba as “idiots”!

For those who don’t know what it is, here is a short video of it:

What I can’t get over are the enormous crowds. A crowd is just a mob by another name. And we all know what a mob can do.

  5. Arpana says:

Everything is the same. All depends on what kind of frame you are carrying in your head. Millions of people are carrying crosses; naturally, obviously, they are burdened. Their life is a drag. Their frame is such that it immediately becomes focused on everything that is negative. It magnifies the negative; it is a morbid approach towards life, pathological. But they go on thinking, “What can we do? The world is such.” No, the world is not such! The world is absolutely neutral. It has thorns, it has roses, it has nights, it has days. The world is utterly neutral, balanced, it has all. Now it depends on you as to what you choose. If you have decided to choose only the wrong, you will live in a wrong kind of world, because you will live in your own chosen world.

Crazy Communes may be playgrounds for real, interactive quickening of the tendency for humanity’s latent casuistry* and the indulging and the experimenting of the most vexatious issues concerning any future of human evolution. One should proceed with a ready supply of elasticicity for maximum potential and for the effect of re-bounding joyfully upon oneself in the event of unexpected and unplanned-for awry-ness.

  7. madhu dagmar frantzen says:

My suggestion would be, Parmartha, not to play virtual cricket with human souls in bodies, as simple as that.

As far as the string here is concerned, there are – superficially – two string texts added to a pic in the middle, which took me on quite another ´memory lane´: a mystical story and a very poetic movie art picture with gorgeous music.

And the plot goes about a blind old Dervish being led by his s little grandaughter through the vastness of a desert, to join a Sufi meeting, which only happens every thirty years. It´s a parable about Life.

The movie is called ‘Bab Aziz’ (2005, Tunisian writer and film director). This piece of Art is sheer poetry and full of wisdom.

Quite reluctantly sharing that with digital ´cricket players and onlookers in times like this. Also because of the experience I had when lending the dvd to my new Turkish neighbours, quite a while ago.

I had to find out (in reality and by their responses), that we are not sharing the same wavelengths of understanding a parable. Very painful. As I had the delusion that we could become friends and get along with sharing with each other.

A parable is a parable is a parable, like a rose is a rose is a rose.

What brings me to overcome my reluctance here is a deep sadness about some yellow press flavour within the use of the word ´crazy´ and how this is dealt with.

And the question came up that Tan (or by choice, ‘Tania’) asked some time ago here: “What´s going on here?”

Being into virtual games as kind of military stuff – not my cup of tea. Big sadness when innocence of relating is lost that way. Honesty replaced by double-speak and double-binds.

And what is lost this way is a soul connection, and along with it, one of the very top values, if not THE top value:

    I call it TRUST.

I wish you all, and myself, Easter Celebration Days a realigning to that quality of the latter; and if you buddies go for a cricket match, just go to a real one on the lawn. With real people. Under the sky and on earth.

    Madhu

    • Parmartha says:

The link is that Osho accepted a whole lot of crazy people like us in his commune, as did Bokhari in his settlement.

In Bokhari’s case, they had to be crazy to feel at home with a Master who rejected the Kaaba. That was and is dangerous stuff. Certainly putting their lives on the line with fundamentalist Muslims.
