Should the Wooden Box be respectfully consigned to history

Laxmi had the idea for Osho to give a wooden box to disciples when they were leaving him -  for a certain period of Pune one – containing his hair or nail clippings. They were never to be opened, save once.   They were all individually crafted by sannyasin carvers. As we recall it lasted about three years.  We hear these boxes are selling underground for quite considerable sums nowadays – and in the devotional places!
Of course they were significant at the time, but now?  Surely they were part of the era of malas and robes, and gauchammis, and rightly left to the historians of sannyas.

Osho-giving-box

It is true that at the time many said they had unique experiences when they meditated with this box under their pillow, but that was part and parcel of the gossip factories of Pune one. .   At some point recipients of such boxes were given these instructions:

Suggestion for the Box

Little boxes, little boxes and there all made out of ticky tacky.
Yes I had a little box with Osho’s hair or toe nail clippings in it. Can’t remember which. Don’t even recall wha happened to it. I do remember sewing it into a satchel and wearing it round my neck for a couple of years. Can’t beleive I was so into such nonsense, but I was. Yet another bit of hokum cooked up my dear Laxmi. Par for the course back in seventies Poona. I had to smile reading all that nonsense about holding the box on one’s head during meditation. Many of us actually did that and experienced cosmic results. It is all in the mind and as one believes the world to be so it will appear. Great lesson from Osho, showing us how gullible we were. It was fun. Now it is history.

  2. shantam prem says:

Seems like, other than established religions, everything else on the earth has their expiry date.

  3. Parmartha says:

Yes Lokesh. I actually do have a wooden box still with Osho’s fingernail clippings inside, and the oldest mala that was ever issued! I even have some bedsheets that Osho slept in that were given to me, presumably for services to the “work”! It is certainly true that the boxes were cherished and used at the time, I can remember many sleeping with theirs under their pillow, etc.
They are as you say part of history. Unlike my Master, I rather like some sorts of history, so may donate them to that Sannyas museum that is starting up in Portland – if they pay the postage!
I just got an invitation to the Delhi bash for Osho’s birthday celebration in December. I must say I find it extraordinary that this sort of thing still goes on, it was of an age, but not this one.

  4. Fresch says:

I have sold my place, furniture and paintings, but not my mala for 23 years..i never use it, but i have it

  5. Anand Newman says:

I have more or less the same experience to share like most of you, except that (probably) my items are not as old as yours and all I have is mala, some robes, gate pass to Pune Ashram and card/paper money used there. Its like we all went thru the cycle of e-motion and d-motion. This cycle should remain in practice for the new comers also.

Aah the preeciiouus…from the early daze.. we wants it… maastaaaah
    Holy cow…pull the udder one!
For enlightenment you need to lose your mind, and this has clearly happened to many seekers @oneborneveryminute.
Private Dicks, Sam Hardy and his partner Yahooligan have written a full expose – “Bulldroppings: illusions I have loved”.
Still if there’s a market I have some Oshomarble, Oshopoop and pulled teeth for sale.
I too have a Mala-r-key… orange you glad?
    “Great less-on from Osho”…for the more-ons.
Yes this sort of thing still goes on and will until mankind is freed from the master-slave guru/psychic vampire paradigm and the new world order controlled by the annunaki reptilian gods from the twelfth planet ‘Nibiru’…but I digress..
Also get your Amma doll and other holy relics for the full spiritual zombie/mass hypnosis life.

Apologies I had too much to dream last night!

  7. Bodh Ekantam says:

Should the wooden box be consigned to history?

Definitely yes – For them, in whom this query has arisen!

Definitely no – For them, who feel Osho’s presence throbbing in the wooden box!

Definietly yes – For those – who are stuck in their mind, are not on the path to their heart being!

Definitely no – For those – who are in mind but on way to their heart and being!

Definitely no – For those – who are in heart and being

A request – If any body want to gift it out of love – I shall be thankful to you to receive it!

  8. shantam prem says:

I don´t think main stream Osho Sannyas will ever be able to redeem its innocence. Reason is simple, people who are ruling the command have never got this innocence, neither the countries they come from have innocence as one of their main attributes.
(I know, above kind of statement really will piss many people. But it is not my fault. potatoes fill the belly, but one does not get potato juice in the airplanes.)
What to say about personal sweet nothings reminding Osho, everything which had the binding effect “sentimentally” is being removed. For example, Buddha Hall or His chair.

    • dominic says:

“potatoes fill the belly, but one does not get potato juice in the airplanes.”
How does he do it? Catching lightning in a bottle every time.
I don’t think Shakespeare could have put it better.
The farce is strong with Shants and one straightjacket simply isn’t enough!

  9. dominic says:

From Vol 4 – Fifty shades of grey hair – God is red and dead

It was a Sunday. I looked out through glasses from my bedroom window out onto the empty streets of the suburbs. All the colour washed out by a grey london drizzle. London the mecca of immigrants where the streets are paved with gold and welfare benefits. Everyone chasing their dreams, but in reality the streets were paved with broken dreams, unaffordable housing, low wages and a nightmare transport system.
The emptiness of a godless sunday reared up into my chest. I leave you my dream, i remembered the old guy… yeah right my broken dream. The sannyas community was in disarray or non-existent, the commune run by soulless carpetbaggers, and the old man long gone.
But I couldn’t dwell on that now, I had to focus on the task at hand, I had to stay present with my total being just as he would have wanted me too.
The present… right now.. right here… I can do this .. I can do this, I thought.
Clutching my osho toenails box and copy of sex and superconsciousness I walked out onto the mean streets, turned a corner, walked through a door, sat down, as a stranger approached me.
I paused a moment, gathered myself and said,
“full english breakfast followed by an ice-cream sundae please”……..

  10. Parmartha says:

I rarely quote Osho for reasons already much discussed, but just to be cussed here is a quote…. and pay attention to the last sentence, I think it applies to some of the movements that grew around Osho’s memory in the last years.

“The enlightened man is the greatest danger in the world, he does not
seem to belong to anybody. No organization confines him, no community,
no society, no nation. His rebellion is so total that it makes the
    unconscious crowd antagonistic. Such a man cannot be tolerated alive;
he can be worshipped when dead.”

    • Arpana says:

‘This has to be remembered by all of my sannyasins: whenever you are quoting me, remember, it is what you have heard. There is a possibility it may have been said, there is a possibility it may not have been said at all; something else may have been said.’

      ooooooooooooooooo

OSHO, I HAVE HEARD YOU SAY THAT KNOWLEDGE IS USELESS. THEN WHAT IS NEEDED TO GUIDE US TO THE ULTIMATE GOAL?

Geetam, there is one good thing about your question that I appreciate: you say “I have heard you say.”

All the Buddhist scriptures begin in that way; that is a very sincere thing. The Christian, the Judaic, the Hindu, the Mohammedan scriptures don’t begin that way, but all Buddhist scriptures begin “I have heard the Master say” because it is not a question whether the Master has said it or not, “I have heard it”; these are two different things. The Master may have said one thing, you may have heard something totally different, because between you and the Master there is a great barrier — the barrier of the mind, prejudices, concepts, preconceived ideas. So what YOU hear is not necessarily the thing that is said.

Geetam, this is good that you say “I have heard you say.” You are not saying that “YOU have said it,” you are saying “I have heard…. It may be right, it may not be right; you may have said it, you may not havesaid it.”

This has to be remembered by all of my sannyasins: whenever you are quoting me, remember, it is what you have heard. There is a possibility it may have been said, there is a possibility it may not have been said at all; something else may have been said. And that’s actually what has happened.

      You say:
I HAVE HEARD YOU SAY THAT KNOWLEDGE IS USELESS.
No, I have not said that. Knowledge is very useful — wisdom is useless! Knowledge is needed in the marketplace, in business, in politics. Everywhere knowledge is needed — in technology, in science — everywhere knowledge is needed. Knowledge is very useful, utilitarian; wisdom is absolutely useless, but that’s its beauty. It is not a commodity, you cannot use it in any way; you cannot sell it, you cannot purchase it. It does not belong to the utilitarian world; it is a flowering.

    • honeysucklerose says:

Those worshiping him are located in India and Nepal, Bodhi Eckhammmm and Swami Brian Rajneesh are leading the mob, Brian himself started the worshiping when he changed his name to “Rajneesh”… yes Brian, Osho spoke about crazies like you… happy holidays everyone.

  11. Parmartha says:

“If you are doing the divine healing then you can keep the box close by. ”

Who remembers the “Divine Healing” and could describe it. I sort of remember it vaguely, but would be grateful to be reminded of it’s detail.
I think it only lasted a short while in Pune one, and there was an old Indian who used to lead it??

    • Lokesh says:

Yes. I loved the Divine Healing and rarely missed a session. Bodgidharma might have been the healer’s name. Learnt a few tricks from watching the Excorcist repeatedly. His glaring eyes would not have looked out of place on a Sri Lankan devil mask. Great stuff! Was it all a dream?

  12. dominic says:

Personally, if there’s anything to be learned from the last 60 years, I think the whole guru/disciple relationship should be consigned to history.
The flower power generation rebelled against the mainstream of the time only to get entangled in eastern dogmas and guru scams. One by one they have all been shown to be deeply flawed if not corrupt with a dark and a light side. Most of them despotic narcissistic and predatory manipulators at various times, full of cultural baggage.
Only good at shifting the blame and playing the crazy wisdom card.
Sure there were good times and lessons learned but the game is up.
Enlightenment, the golden carrot, just another form of entrapment to keep us all hooked.
Indian society will carry on with this nonsense for it is so heavily conditioned and entrenched there.
But really isn’t it time we all grew up and took the power back, instead of outsourcing our own spirituality and feeding others’ egos?
Many sanyassins left Osho but softened up, couldn’t kick the habit of following, going from one teacher to the other. What is the point?
Enough of this slavery I say, dammit!
    Jai Yourself!

    • Lokesh says:

Yes, Dominic, good post. Funny enough, Ibiza has become the Flower Power capital of the world. Pasha discotheque has a FP night every week during summer, packed out…80 euros to get in if you are lucky. I played at a few rich people’s parties during the summer. These folks come down to Ibiza and like nothing better than to dress up like chic hippies and dance to The Kinks. In the old days sannyasins were called butanos because of the orange gas bottles. Remarkably enough many sannyasins are getting their material shit together down here on numerous levels, some extremely sucessful. Will orange robes and malas and little boxes containing nail clippings become next years hot fashion accessiories? I doubt it.

      • dominic says:

Sounds faaar out. 80 euros… Ay Caramba!

  13. swami anand anubodh says:

Osho was not giving boxes when I left Poona in 1975 – but he did give me one in 79.
He just put it into my hand without saying anything (no mumbo jumbo about energy)

I put the box away when I got home and forgot about it for about 30 years,
until one day I read somewhere that many of them were reportedly empty.

I decided to open mine for the first time and check… It was not empty.

I made a high resolution scan of the hair inside and took a photo of the box before putting them away again.

Several more years have past and this topic is now asking ‘are these boxes still relevant?’

Well to me it was just a small wooden box with a strand of Osho’s hair inside that he wanted me to have.

But looking more closely at an enlarged area of the scan shows something interesting:

    http://i.imgur.com/W4pRuu6.jpg

You can clearly see the hair follicle still attached,
which suggests that the hair was pulled out and not cut???

Also because its a follicle it may well contain Osho’s DNA!

Ok, realistically it would take a very unlikely sequence of events to bring to the world a ‘real’ clone of Osho (instead of the ‘fake’ clone we have at the moment)

But who knows how technology and events will move in the future.

Many of these boxes have been lost forever and many more were maybe
empty. Yes, you can consign the box to history.

But the last remaining fragments of Osho himself are probably worth keeping.

(Parm – Who got what was ‘probably’ only lucky dip)

  14. Kavita says:

I do cherish my meditation rug which I sat on , in the Buddha Hall , its on the computer chair I sit on ( daily ), I was given an Osho-energised-mala without a locket , it was given by a sannyassin ma (friend) , for being with her , during her chemo therapy , it was given to a her by Osho , during pre-poona days , to be given to anyone she would like to share it with , I had it for couple of months in ’07, I somehow passed it on , to another sannyassin friend ,who wanted to have it .

  15. shantam prem says:

    Bodh Ekantam,
If I had some Osho memorable thing with me, surely I would have given to you out of love.
You may sound cuckoo at this site, still it is much more beautiful than all the fence sitter suckers.

  16. shantam prem says:

Wooden boxes, marble pieces from Osho´s bedroom would have kept their poetry alive, if there was some poetry left in the main organisation. When roots get dry, leaves and branches cannot remain green and tender for long time.
And for this to blame only Jayesh is no good. Biggest blame goes to those devotee types, who always thought their God Osho is a Spiderman, who overcomes all kind of obstacles being the blessed one.
These thousands of people, the first generation of sannyasins have no moral and spiritual pride left in them in comparison with Jayesh. It is the Jayesh who came on the scene like a movie hero to take Osho out of the mess, and finally to create dryness instead of messiness.
Let me share one anecdote about Osho relics. One ma who was my colleague in Pune days, once went for a date with some top gun. The girl told me, ” He was very happy to tell the story how Osho gave him his chair and gentleman offered her to sit on that.”
    “Romantic”, is not this?

I did not ask further, and then who gave the whom on that love chair?
Few things are understood without saying!

  17. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Shantam Prem!

I may sound cuckoo on SN to you!

Heart is a cuckoo! It is beautiful!

Navel is a sage! It has a grace!

Mind with logic is like a razor!

Mind with a perverted logic or no logic that is bitchiness,

is satyadeva, parmartha, frank, dominic, honey…, lokesh, anand,!

Those who have chosen perverted logic or no logic ie bitchiness,

they live in their own world,

    they are entitled to that,

they are entitled to mock at heart and navel,

    it is their choice,

they have missed their own heart and being,

permanent residents of bitchiness and perverted logic of mind,

they have consigened their heart and navel respectully to history,

what else can you expect out of a bitchy and perverted mind!

I do not get disheartened by them,

Osho was Razor (mind with pure logic), heart (cuckoo) and Navel (sage),

there are many who live in heart and navel,

    their company is beautiful!

    I belong to that realm!

    • Ashok says:

      Dear Bod Ekhantam,

My dear boy, Osho was often ‘bitchy’, ‘perverted’ and ‘mocking’, wasn’t he? (If you are not able to see this is true, then you are beyond help quite frankly).

The various sannyarse-ins you criticize for doing the same, eg Frank, Parmartha, Dominic et al, are dutifully following the Beloved Marseter’s example, aren’t they? And to be honest, I suspect that you are also a member from the same illustrious following ! Please feel free to follow through.

  19. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Dear Oldies..!

What more can be expected out of failed disciples like you!

Master Osho gives some thing out of love to you!
It is a reminder to you that you have to move out of mind!
It is a reminder to you that you have to go deeper into heart and being!

Now you keep sticking to mind!

Instead of consigning your mind to history,
You choose to consign Osho’s love and reminder to history!

To a failed disciple, his mind is far precious than Master’s love and reminder!

    So go on!

I cherish and appreciate Osho’s love and reminder!
Hence I am receptive to it!
It is far more precious than my mind!

    • Ashok says:

For the attention of Oh dear Bod (Ekhantam)!

You write things of great wisdom eg, “It is a reminder to you that you have to move out of mind!”

Dearie, I am going to try and be gentle with you (although I seriously doubt whether it will do any good), but have you ever tried following your own advice?

  21. shantam prem says:

When I look back, It becomes difficult to comprehend that Once Osho Ashram kind of thing was existing on the earth, that thousands of seekers from developed countries of the world were living in a feverish state of longing to be in Pune at any cost.
How Osho could paint a totally new meaning and concept into a very lame duck word Ashram still blows my mind away. During my collage days, I had this question in me, ” What Indians are contributing to the world other than cheap labour and sanctimonious discourses.”
After seeing Osho´s world, this question simply dissolved and one day I will die in peace, ” Yes, me too was a grass blade in one of the unique garden of mystery, which only enlightened rebellious spirit could create.”

    • satyadeva says:

But when are you going to stop living in the past, Shantam, like a sentimental old fool?

Don’t you see that if you hang your spiritual life and well-being on to a specific place and set of conditions then you’re asking for trouble?

Isn’t that a lesson you need to learn, but still haven’t?

What are you actually doing here and now, apart from this impotent moaning?

You don’t want to answer this, do you?

  22. shantam prem says:

Once there was a competition of being here and now.
My God, ten people were standing on the Gold medallists podium. Similar crowd was for silver and bronze.
To see their winner smile, I took my shoes and went back.

Better to be in the past as alone than to bear the stinky armpits of here and now winners!

  23. Ashok says:

Farmer Satyadeva asked, “What are you actually doing here and now, apart from this impotent moaning? You don’t want to answer this, do you?”

Devotee Shantam Premium (1Star Lead) replied,”….I took my shoes and went back…..Better to be in the past as alone…..”

All this reminds me of the song popular in the UK during the 2nd World War, (an event, this site usually resembles), which went,
“Bang, bang, bang, goes the farmer’s gun,
Run rabbit, run rabbit, run, run, run.”

So please take heed of your own words, Shantam, take your shoes, go back and please stay in the past alone, running somewhere else other than this bomb site which you frequently clutter with a load of demented, deluded, half-baked, holy shoite and needy drivel.

  24. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Shantam Prem!
You deserve to die in peace if you remember all that at time of your death!
The very rememberance of those things, is a precious diamond you are carrying within!
But you can not make that understand to Satyadeva and Lokesh!
To them, here now means their stupid mind and psychoanalysis!
Any thing and every thing related to Osho, which you refer to is past to them!
Herenow is when you are dipped in universal heart, and universal being!
While the stupid mind and its psychoanalysis, which Satyadeva and Lokesh cherish so much, is simply past projecting into future and bypassing the present!
There is no present in Mind!
So with Osho, you had dipped into present or herenow which was universal heart and universal being experience!
Even remembrance of those experience can take you again into herenow,
and if there is remembrance at time of death, you can die in here now and present, and that will be dying in peace and reborn in peace!
Let Satyadeva, Lokesh continue with their stupid mind and psychoanalysis in the illusion of present, death is going to throw their stupid mind and its psychoanalysis into dustbin, and they are going to die a restless fearful death!

    • satyadeva says:

See your GP asap, you’re suffering from acute, possibly chronic, symptoms of guruitis.

Par for the course for beginners, but nevertheless ideally nipped in the bud before it afflicts the entire system.

For you, however, I suspect it’s already far too late….

    • Lokesh says:

Last person I heard using death threats on here was that Rajneesh follower, Dhyanraje. Erkantam, maybe one day you actually wake up to a few things and maybe cringe remembering the crap you wrote on SN. Who knows? Who even cares? Just another lost soul spouting a lot of trash.
The thing about death and dying is that it is all very well talking about it while healthy. Death usually entails dying from something and degeneration of the mental and physiological construct we are all so plugged into. Those that feel they have it all worked out are usually the ones who freak the most when it is time to do the ultimate let go. Those that use the threat of approaching death as a form of spiritual oneupmanship are usually those most in need of spiritual help in the form of a coherant and down to earth approach to death and dying. In other words, Ekantam, you are utterly lost, babe.

    • Ashok says:

The wrathful Bod perpetually on high(wot’s he on?), who also goeth by the dreaded name of Bodh Ekantam, proclaimed a stern prophesy unto the sinners of SN, that they will die “a restless fearful death!” for their heresy and connivances.

All I can stay is “Bloody Hell”, where are you coming from with all this stuff?” Have you been reading the Old Testament in the Bible, Bod? “Restless, fearful death”- is this what you mean when you say, “Master Osho gives some thing out of love to you.” Shame on you, oh you blasphemer you, where is the beautiful Osho love you talk of, oh poor lost wayward soul ? If da stuff you write Bod E. is not meant as a joke ie you mean what you say, then I would suggest that you seriously take on board what Satyadeva has said about seeing your GP. In fact, I would go further and suggest you go straight to a shrink for some urgently required medication before it’s too late.

N.B. After all this holy shoite from Bod on high, I am beginning to think that our resident clown, Shamtan Premium Gas (1* Lead addled), is not so bad after all – at least he only condemns the sinners to bearing “stinky armpits”. He’s quite noice, really, isn’t he?

    • dominic says:

      Dear Ee Bykantam. Ayup, lad!
This is not abuse or in your case, child abuse!
Just can’t take this sort of posturing seriously!
An easy target… like a turkey for xmas or should I say fruitcake!
Helps to pass the time before, during, and after meditation.
      Don’t take it too poisonally!
I cheer you on as you leave the solar system and the gravitational pull of reality with… “Whatever he’s for, I’m against it!”
      I offer you a doctor’s advice…
Patient: “Doctor Doctor, I think I’m a pair Of curtains!”
      Doctor: “Well pull yourself together!”

  25. shantam prem says:

    Bodh Ekantam
Are you M.B.B.S, MD or just RMP?
What kind of doctor are you?
Cursing someone with restless, fearful death is just too outlandish.
Nobody deserves this, nobody on this site has earned it.

Now, now Brother Dominic, let’s not be too abrasive with those less fortunate than ourselves! I think S.P.G.(1* Lead addled), should be encouraged in his efforts to achieve common sense – it seems he is making progress in that direction, don’t you think so? Our exalted company is finally beginning to rub off on him it would appear. At least he has not sentenced Bod on high, to bearing ‘stinky armpits’, has he?

I was at the ashram when one of the first video cameras brought into the country arrived there.
Unfortunately, the camera was noted in the carriers passport (to make sure they left with it else
a large import tax would have been due.)

To get around this ‘inconvenience’ the camera was given to the woodwork shop
where a wooden replica of it was made.

The real camera stayed at the ashram and the replica was successfully shown on exit.

I wonder if those artisan sannyasins, who loving crafted Bhagwan boxes and malas, engaged
in fraud and deception through fear of being labeled ‘failed sannyasins’
(or was it ‘not surrendered’ in those days?)

    Anyway…

I think the only failed sannyasin is the one who says “yes” when their inner voice is saying: “NO!”

And only they know who they are.

    btw…

I have found a photo of the replica camera that totally fooled the Indians at passport control…

    By its very nature,
mind and its psychoanalytical ability is always obsessed,
with sickness of others real or imagined,
it is totally impotent in appreciating innocence of heart,
    and silence of being!
Satyadeva and Lokesh, however wise they seem to themselves or each other,
they do not have guts to let their own innocence of heart and silence of being
pour a few sentence on SN!
Osho had guts to pour out his innocent heart and silent being,
and it resonated with dormant heart and dormant beings of so many,
    who came rushing to him,
you were fortunate to be witness of that,
how many you thing will come rushing to Satyadeva and Lokesh,
    reading their psychoanalysis, None!
Really courageous pour out their heart and silent beings!
Cowards just keep psychoanalysing and grumbling about each and every thing!

Feels like a ‘mexican’ standoff BE.
Repetition is boring…Repetition is boring…Repetition is boring etc

    • sannyasnews says:

Almost 3,000 visitors came to SannyasNews last 30 days Mr Bod – not an insubstantial number of people seem to want to see what the likes of Lokesh, Dominic, Satyadeva, etc are saying….. and in a sense offering by way of wisdom and humour ….

      • Ashok says:

        Dearest SN,
Yesterday, most of the local farmers and various other assembled worshippers eg Shamtan Premium Gas (1*Lead addled), gathered and joined together in the deserved, general gang-banging of the Bod E. Bod rest his soul…. and his mind for Bod’s sake! In gratitude, let us now offer up our prayers and thank him for providing us with a clear and shining example of why, joking apart, Osho rightly, did not want his movement involved in religion.

Today, being the Sabbath, I feel it is time to respectfully place a new sacrifice on the SN altar today. So with this noble purpose in mind, I would like to express my sincere gratitude to Sannyas News for the following donation generously offered up and tossed to the ‘poor and meek and lowly’ on this site:

“….what the likes of Lokesh, Dominic, Satyadeva are saying…..and in a sense offering by way of wisdom and humour…” (Shurely some mistake guv?)

If you are trying to butter up Lokesh for a cash loan, I would like to remind you, as I have pointed out on previous occasions, that he is Scottish! So nooooh way mon! As for Dominic, well I don’t really know him, but with a name like that he must a member of the Catholic brethren, and we know what they get up to, don’t we? Satyadeva, I don’t really know either but he/she/android sounds much too sensible to be taken in by SN flattery and flatulence!

        Yours faithfully,
Ashok ( a soul standing naked and bared before you humbly expectant of a vigorous and sacred offering in return – please do not disappoint me Father Dominic!)

        • dominic says:

Well Ashock (loose indian electrical wiring?)
I see you are trying to divert friendly fire and get a drubbing from the illuminati black robe brethren with their instruments of torture – irony, sarcasm, parody, satire, ridicule, Major abuse and General logic. Or are you just trying to earn your wings?
We are flattered by SN’s interpretation of statistics but it could be that visitors pass by in the same way that rubberneckers slowdown and gather round a crash site where there has been an accident.
Or worst-case scenario there are more ‘off their heads’ sheeple, drinking in the kool-aid of mind-less propaganda. I’m joking of course, sn readers are highly evolved and discerning creme de la creme (or soy de la soy).
All I can say is that our dear Bod seems to thrive and grow bigger and longer! on negative attention. Analyze that!
Father Demonic, in the name of.

          • Ashok says:

            Dearest Father Dominic!

It is with immeasureable pleasure and unbounded joy, that I have received your earnest missive deigning to play with the likes of me, given your recent elevation to fame and popularity on SN!
Yes Father, you are right, my electrical wires are very loose! However, by way of explanation, I would like to point out that my origin is not from the sub-continent as you speculated – it is much worse than that I am afraid – please forgive me Father, for I have sinned – I am from Ireland! I think you might be too as we seem to be birds of a feather, I feel sure you would agree.

            • dominic says:

Never in a month of buggery from a catholic priest or by ‘currying’ favour would I have thought you subcontinental. The loose wiring referring only to your adopted indian name and not your irish one (O’Shoklin?).
Anyway you are at an advantage as you can say “what a feckin’ eejit!” and people find it rather funny thanks to father Ted.
Whereas an english f-bomb might incur censure. What’s up with that?
I am not from de emerald isle, dominic comes from my italian side…
“Hey what’sa matta here? Summa peeple gotta no respect for de oldies! Shaddupa de face!”
Don’t know about birds of a feather, but as long as you have bats in the belfry and owls in the attic… might get along.

        • Lokesh says:

I always wondered why I was born in Scotland. I found out. It is a long story. Besides, the indominatable Scottish sense of ironic humor is worth being born in the highlands for. I left Scotland 44 years ago and have lived in Spain for over 30 years, yet my Scottishness remains in tact. I spent a fortune paying for the Scot’s stigma of being tight, trying to proove I was not. These days I don’t give a hoot about it. I love Scotland…for a week once a year. There is something about the highlands and islands that brings a tear to my eye when I visit them, yet I am not at all nationalistic. Personally I love Spain. Live today and manana be damned. That is the spiritus sanctus dominoos in the hoose for me.
As for Ekantum..what to say? He is confused and up himself…your average Joe with a spiritual bent that is positively warped. Sooner or later the engines will no take it.

          • Ashok says:

            Esteemed Brother Lokesh!

Let me just say here at the outset, how pleased I was to hear directly from you again after such a long time, and be given tangible proof that you have not let the recently acquired fame imparted by the SN statistics dept., go to your head! Thanks be to Bod! Talking of whom, I must confess, has occupied much contemplation on my part re. the issue of the lengthy communication in yesterday’s edition of SN, and brought to my attention by the esteemed Brother Dominic. After much consideration I have come to the conclusion that due to the fact that the Bod E. was being banged by several of the local site farmers and worshippers, and himself, at the same time, his bum crack simply split under the strain and therefore all the ‘banterings and bitchings’ in the pipeline issued forth in one big splurge. The pressure of all the banging, it would appear, has been too much for him. Like you Brother Lokesh, I believe that the engines are next in line now that many of the ‘bitchings and banterings’ are hopefully out of the way. I shall pray for his soul that this does not come about.
These then are the results of my contemplation and deep anal-ysis of the events in hand. I trust you will find them satisfactory for your purposes.

I remain your Loyal and Obedient Servant.

            Brother Ashok

  28. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Dear Shantam Prem and Sannyasnews!
    Shantam first!
    I am a MD doctor,
with 12 years of experience in Cardiology!
I have seen more number of deaths,
    and surviving death,
all within a span of seconds!
    This is a fact!
    Restless fearful death,
    almost all the deaths are!
    I have seen many die,
    especially the intellectuals,
the business magnets, the film fraternity,
    the politicians, the common men,
    so called godmen!
Almost all have gone to death
    restless and fearful!
    So restless and fearful death,
    this expression of mine,
    is not a curse,
    it is a hard fact!
    But i am blessed to
    see few rare deaths too,
    where they died
    with a smile and peace
    on their face!
One of them was Dr Hingorani,
who died the day next to Diwali festival,
he got admitted with massive heart attack,
with his heart rate and blood pressure,
swinging widely to both higher and lower side,
making it difficult for us to manage even in ICU!
Dr Hingorani, was an old doc,
    father figure to us,
    very soft and gentle soul,
it was painful to see him as a patient,
    admitted during my night duty,
    the night of dipawali,
    when in delhi,
the city is full of smoke of fire cracker,
all the asthmatics, hear failure patients,
the ICU gets full in almost all hospitals of delhi!
I kept sitting near Dr Hingorani,
    I loved him,
    we had a ventilator ready,
a defibrillator ready just in case he needs a electiric cardioversion,
we had to keep titrating the infusion dosages of drugs
needed to stabilize his blood pressure,
as his blood pressure and heart rate kept changing every few minutes,
so we had to adjust the dosage of his medications every few minutes.
me and my colleague Dr Mukherjee,
we chose to sit by side the whole night,
    we loved him so much!
Dr Hingorani himself was smiling and peaceful,
he said that he is not going to die in night,
at 09:30 am the next day,
    it is auspicious moment,
he will be leaving his body then!
His daughter brought a photo of very peaceful looking
a lady indian guru, i had not even heard of,
Dr Hingorani kept looking at her photo,
and every few moments he will close his eyes,
and he will radiate a serenity and smile all around,
those days i was just into reading osho,
    i had not taken sannyas!
Dr Hingorani i.e. Sir told us that
he has his spirtual initiation from that lady Guru,
he said that he has received so much grace from his lady Guru!
All the daugthters of Dr Hingorani
    were hysterical!
As far as his medical condition was concerned,
he could have deteriorated at any moment,
hence we were ready for any eventuality!
    So he sounded cuckoo
when he said that he will die next day at 9:30 am!
Reading Osho, i remembered him saying somewhere
that a meditator if he is living in tune with existence,
just by seeing his rhythm of breath,
he can know when death is going to come!
    My friend Dr Mukherjee,
had already taken kriya yoga deeksha,
from Swami Bhavananda Giri, disciple of Paramhansa Yogananda
    of Self Realization Fellowship!
So we both took Dr Hingorani’s cuckoo type statement,
with respect and said to him
sir, you carry on with your meditation or whatever,
we simply want to do satsanga with you,
Dr Hingorani closed his eyes and was lost somewhere deep inside him!
    I told my senior consultants
what Dr Hingorani said regarding his time of death,
    they all laughed uproariously
    said us to ignore that!
All that night every few hours,
Dr hingorani will open his eyes and
tell us to be sincere in meditation and master!
By 09:30 am, i and dr mukherjee,
we both had managed to stabilize
his blood pressure and heart rate,
all the senior consultants of cardiology,
    cardio-thoracic surgery,
    cardio-thoracic anesthesia,
all had gathered around Dr Hingorani,
    they were cracking jokes,
saying Sir even if death comes now,
    and takes you off,
    we will grab your legs,
and will not let you go!
We (me and mukherjee) were there too,
out night duty was over at 09:00 am,
but we had decided to be by his side
    till 09:30 am!
Dr hingorani too laughed at the jokes of
    Senior consultants!
    then Just at 09:30 am,
he said ok friends, ok Jha (me), Ok mukherjee,
it is just the right time,
    time to leave now,
then a beautiful smile on his face,
    just the way Osho smiles
    after his rajneeshpuram interview,
    before gettingup!
With that beautiful smile on his face,
his presence just flew out of our ICU,
what was left was just a body with smile,
we (me and mukherjee) simply bowed down,
the senior consultants swung into action,
    all support systems activated,
but he was gone clean cut, completely!
    Consultants were shocked,
Dr Hingorani was not a cuckoo!
they could not explain the thing!
His death was a rare death!
A death which was not fearful and restless!

    Since I started reading Osho,
a strange thing is happening between me and Osho,
whatever happens in my outer life,
withing a few days, i will be hearing Osho explaining that very thing,
    in his discourses!
The same is happening with so many fellow sannyasins!

    Soon afterwards,
    I heard Osho saying that
    death chops off
    your mind, your physical body,
    your thoughts, your psychoanalytical abilities,
    your technical expertise!
    Death does not chop off
a deathless core of life in you!
    So meditate and love and
settle in that deathless core of life within you!
If you are settled in deathless core of life,
death can not chop you off,
so your death will be peaceful, serene!
You will die with a smile!
But if you are not settled in that deathless core,
death is going to chop off you,
you will die a fearful and restless death!
    Meditation means dying before death,
settling in the deathless core of life!

    So shantam prem,
    i am a doc,
    i save patients from death,
    how can i curse them
    fearful and restless death,
if i see any patient who may die,
if he is open to meditation,
i tell him few simple meditations,
i tell him that there is a deathless core too,
but not everybody is open for such talk,
few like oldies of SN take offence,
    they take it as curse,
so i do not tell everybody,
but yes if i have a gut feel,
    then i do tell!

    Here on SN,
people like Lokesh, Satyadeva and others,
they have become full of just garbage
of psychoanalysis and sarcasm and bantering
    and crude jokes,
the source of all this is just mind and intellect,
they have gone so far out into this garbage,
they even take potshot at Osho and his things,
thinking they are broadminded and progressive and modern!

    All is their wishful thinking,
    they are living in mind,
the most superficial layer of life,
which is going to be chopped of by death!
so it is not a curse,
    if they remain like this,
    it is entertainment,
    but death is something different
if you have cherished mind only in your life,
the death will be restless and fearful!

    So remember,
    at time of death,
    restlessness and fearfulness,
the source is not my curse,
the source is their own mind,
which is seeing it being chopped off!

    At last Dear Sannyasnews!
If you thing 3000 visitor come to your site
to read wisdom and humor of Satyadeva, Lokesh, Parmartha and so on,
So keep going on with your psychoanalysis, banterings, sarcasm and humor!
I can not stop you, it is your website, you are free to do whatever!
I will be Bodh Ekantam only,
I will write what appeals to me,
You are free to not publish my things!
But i am very clear on two things
wisdom and humor never arise from mind!
What you are taking as wisdom and humor,
    is actually gossiping of mind!
I had suggested earlier too to you,
to drop photo of Osho, chang tzu
    to drop the name sannyas
    from your website’s name,
you should respectfully consign them to history!
Put photographs of wise Satyadeva, Parmartha, Lokesh
with their mouths and eyes open offering their wisdom and humor!
    Name could be any Oldoshodisciplesgossip.org

    • Lokesh says:

I’ve always held great respect for the medical proffesion, since a team of dedicated doctors hauled me back from death’s door three decades ago. Nonetheless, Erknatam, you still come across like a pompous ass. You sound as mixed up as the century we find ourselves living in.
One of my closest Spanish friends is a cancer specialist. He too saves lives. He is a beautiful man with a head like a planet. He thinks being spiritual has something to do with reading spiritual books and Buddhist philosophy. Like yourself he is pretty much a non runner in the spiritual game stakes. My conclussion is that being a doctor does not give one a head start as far as the inne life goes. It just gives you a head full of ideas and that is about it…like being spiritual is like being medical…something one learns. I’ve met beggars on the street who have a more comprehensive understanding of life than you do.

      • dominic says:

Yes indeed what a nice bedside manner from Dr Doom!
Being a doctor has benefited him in gaining access to the meds cabinet! Is he high on something?
I thought indians would be more respectful of their elders at ye olde sannyasnews. Is this the new India?
Needs a checkup from the neck up!

        • Ashok says:

“Needs a check-up from the neck up.”

Definitely, but I think somebody should take a look at his arse as well, bearing in mind what’s been going in and coming out of it!

  29. shantam prem says:

    Nice piece, doctor disciple.
Now keep in mind, how senior doctors react to certain situations. Please try to see some beauty and love in the tease of Frank, Satyadeva and Lokesh etc.
They have differet inner colour but it is not colourless. They have seen many seasons with Osho and with time green turns brown. It is natural.

    • Lokesh says:

Shantypants, you have been staring at the contents of your chuddies like they are some sort of oracle. Sorry to inform you but your chuddies are simply full of… Well you can guess the rest.

  30. shantam prem says:

Almost every week some young chaps come and show the mirror to Lokesh. but no, uncle Lokesh won’t see he is outdated, expired cough syrup bottle.
Droping Ego is a fashion. droping vanity is hard work. From Pune One till Now, this course no one has offered.

    • satyadeva says:

“Dropping Ego is a fashion”, is it, Shantam, whereas “dropping vanity is hard work”?

Since when was ‘dropping vanity’ not part of ‘dropping ego’?

And if you think “dropping ego” is merely “a fashion” then that might explain rather a lot about where you’re at!
I mean, what the hell do you imagine you’re actually up to in your so-called ‘spiritual life’? Have you any idea at all? I’m afraid I honestly doubt if you do.

    • Lokesh says:

Dropping the ego, my hairy Scottish arse. ‘Dropping the ego is just an idea Shantypants got into his thick head stumbling through life and coming from him means no more than that. A wee bit of Osho Parrotspeak , it don’t mean you know how to do it. Now about those chuddies…

    • Ashok says:

“….uncle Lokesh won’t see he is outdated, expired cough syrup bottle.”

Well Shantam Prem, you certainly have a unique turn of phrase and penchant for conjuring up certain imagery, don’t you? Your description above of Lokesh, has genuinely cracked me up with laughter, even though I do not subscribe to the view you are communicating here! Please accept my sincere thanks and appreciation for the creative gift you have given birth to – intentionally or otherwise. Consequently, I humbly retract what I said the other day about you taking your ‘half-baked, deluded needy drivel’ somewhere else. Please carry on drivelling! Diamonds are sometimes found in a load of shoite on the sea-floor.

so a local fertilizer in circulation these days !

  32. shantam prem says:

Sense of humour takes a downward turn if one has some South Indian as spiritual coach. South India is famous for sandlewood on the forhead, Bhakti, Yoga, Vedanta and Advaita, all very serious and pious.
So Satya Deva, try to find the meaning which is not in the words but in the gaps…

Let us say, Ego and Vanity are two sisters. One is cheap another expansive, just like street girl and escort!

    • satyadeva says:

If you think your previous post bore any resemblance to humour, Shantam, then you really are in a bad way!

Similarly, in your misplaced insistence on identifying me as a ‘pupil’ of “some South Indian spiritual coach”. Are you really as stupid as you sound? I suspect the answer is often ‘yes’.

Still, at least you finally made some sort of sense in the end, so you’re not a totally hopeless case (yet), despite apparently wasting far too much of your precious life complaining about the loss of certain circumstances you enjoyed for a few years, a long time ago.

Has it never occurred to you that this life is very much about such loss, in myriad forms, as we go on, that little or nothing lasts, that all is subject to change, often enough of a kind that can bring on anger and grief (closely related as they are) if we resist rather than realise it’s just life going on its inevitable course, trying to wake us up to ‘something’?

      Wake up, Shantam!

  33. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Shantam Prem!
    Basically Lokesh and Satyadeva,
If even sun comes to them,
    and say i am sun!
    Lokesh and Satyadeva,
are going to take it as rubbish!
They are going to say to Sun,
    no you are not sun,
You are moon with delusion of grandeur!
    Now saying that,
    Lokesh and satydeva think,
    themselves to be wise!
But Sun Laughs at their stupidity,
    Sun says I am Sun!
    Lokesh and Satyadeva,
say we do not believe you!

    Next shantam prem!
Senior doctors i always learn from!
    But senior disciples,
    especially Lokesh and Satyadeva,
others are milder forms of disease,
    Lokesh and Satyadeva,
they are the full blown cases of that disease,
    they are not senior disciples,
they are disciples degenerated into dull psychoanalysts!

    So these senior disciples,
    who have degenerated into psychoanalysts,
    I learn from their mistakes,
their tease comes from dry psychoanalysis,
no beauty and love is there in the very first place!

Beauty and Love is plenty in Osho discourses and videos,
    even after they have left,
it is plenty in sincere disciples of Osho,
who are carrying his incredible love energy,
there is no need to trying to see,
being with them the love dynamo they are,
i get drowned into love and beauty,
those sincere disciples do not even claim,
they say it is not their own,
    they have disappeared,
    it is Osho flowing!

    there is the contrast between
    sincere disciples and degenerated disciples,
so much love and beauty flows out of sincere disciples,
but they do not stake a claim to that!
So much stinking psychoanalysis flows out of degenerated disciples,
but they claim to be wise and loving!

    So Shantam Prem!
Keep all the love and beauty,
in the tease of senior degenerated disciples!

    Some one asked Osho,
that just as disciples of previous masters,
they have degenerated and become priests,
will that happen to your disciples as well,
    Osho said,
my disciples will degenerate for sure,
if they are not sincere with their meditation,
but most of them will not become priests,
they will become therapists and psychoanalysts,
and they are going to be laughing stock,
sooner or later just the way priests are today!

So when i see today at the senior disciples of Osho,
except for the few sincere ones,
rest have varying degree of therapist and psychoanalyst in them!

I go by a very simple advice,
    of Ma Dharm Jyoti,
    a sincere disciple of Osho,
i found her as Osho advised me in discourses to recognise a buddha,
i ignored how she looked and what she said,
i silently sat by her side,
and for no reason i felt a peace and happiness,
    arising out of my interiority,
so i recognized her to be a buddha but very silent and shy!
    Her advice was simple
any one meditation of Osho plus one discourse of Osho daily!
Make it a central pole and keep holding that throughout your life!
    You will reach!
    One meditation a day
will take you deeper into yourself!
    One discourse a day
will keep you from degenerating into a psychoanalyst and therapist,
will keep you motivated to do one meditation daily,
will sharpen your intelligence to spot out psychoanalysts and therapists,
seeing through them, their hollowness, their stupidity!

    So shantam prem,
when daily after one hour of dipping inside me,
listening to osho for one to one and half hours,
    when i read blah blah of Lokesh, Satyadeva, and their tease;

    I really started laughing,
even i can feel osho laughing at these old jokers!

    See the biggest irony,
name of this website — Sannyasnews.org
See the photo of osho — his eyes are closed, he is meditating!
See the old stupids – their eyes and mouths wide open, their tease, their psychoanalysis!

    So shantam prem,
my advice to Lokesh, Satyadeva, Parmartha and etcetras
Just close your eyes like Osho on this website,
    read one discourse a day,
    one osho meditation a day,
forget this nonsense of being senior disciple,
    just be a disciple,
bow at the feet of the Master Osho!
    You look stupid joker,
when you try to interpose yourself
    between osho and young disciples!

    • Lokesh says:

Ekantam, if anyone has their mouth open round here it is you, pal. Long-winded to the max, with a few times stuck record ramblings. One discourse a day. They were good live but today I rarely listen to Osho…much too much good music around to be bothereed with the master of blah blah. As for Osho’s meditation techniques, handy to have them under one’s belt, but not really meditation as such. I can understand your excitement about discoverying Osho etc but it is old hat to my finely tuned ears. You are far too self righteous to have taken in what Osho had to impart, something which you will not find in any of his books, discourses or meditation. Be a joke unto yourself, you poor serious chappie. You a doctor with the very worst of mental illnesses…chronic seriosness.

Mr Bod what’s with all this “stinking psychoanalysis and therapists” schtick ad nauseam, not that I care. Sounds like Swami Brian. Or are you just jung and freudened? Might as well throw in doctors and drug companies. Physician heal thyself…

  34. shantam prem says:

One thing is clear, Osho provokes emotions, create a binding. Few remain trap in that alluring bond for months, years and even life long. Many see different reality and come out from the hypnotic spell..
    It is like this.
Decades ago, i was imprssed to read, Osho explaining the concept of sannyas. New religious movement, which has exit door too. Try, if you don’t like go out, almost Ikea store.
And what i see at this site, there are ex. custmores who come to Ikea only for its Restuarent or rest room.

Good business invites all kind of people.

  35. Ashok says:

Well, well, well! Stormy winds and inclement weather are blowing thru the FARMS, (for grounded, no-nonsense, realistic types); and the TEMPLES, (for worshippers & devotees with their heads in the clouds or up their own fluffy little bumkins, aka rabbits and Holy Shoite Brigade); and SHITHOUSES, (where I and a few select others live and operate), of the SN holiday region, by crikey! The holy water and fertilizer is flying all over the place and an ‘outdated expired bottle of cough syrup medicine’ has even been thrown in one of the brethren’s direction, would you believe? Disgraceful behavior, ennit? All of this following on from when the little, pretty, sacred wooden boxes of Osho relics were rolled out and whipped some of the holy shoite brigade up into a frenzy, yet to abate. Whatever next? (I am eagerly anticipating future contributions to the debate.)

This scenario reminds me a little bit of the antics in the song ‘Hunting Tigers Out in India’, recorded by the aptly named, ‘Bonzo Dog Doo Dah Band’, (aka Sannyarse News & contributors), back in the 1960′s, which I will reproduce part of here for your edification, (some of you oldies will undoubtedly know these lyrics off by heart):

“With big, hungry tigers table manners have no place
    Dear dear dear no
    Dear dear dear no
    Dear dear oh dear no!
After they have eaten you they never say their grace
( Dear dear dear no part from above repeated again here)
Hunting tigers can be ripping fun
Like 3 blind mice, see the hunters run

    Chorus:
    Hunting tigers out in India
Out in, out in, out in India yah

You all know how beastly tigers are
Out in, out in, out in India
    They bite
    They scratch
    They make an awful fuss
It’s not use stroking them and saying ‘puss, puss, puss’
    …………(AND SO ON)

Please feel free to make up your own version of this groundbreaking song.

    Lots of love,
    Ashok

  36. Lokesh says:

Shantypants, there is a strong smell of glue and solvents around here. Are you sticking your hooter in the glue pot again? Don’t get stuck, swami.

  37. shantam prem says:

Just because few people get initiated into some cult does not mean they all will have the same blood group.
Indian guru western disciples, relationship made in heaven celebrated on earth, with time turns into hell!

    Much research is needed.

  38. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Dear Lokesh, Satyadeva and etecetras!

Once you stop listening to Osho, stop his meditation!
Either you have fallen below Osho,
then start listening to Osho and doing his meditation!

Or you have got beyond Osho,
then congrats, you are enlightened chap,
    start spreading your enightenment,
and if you have some gratefulness to Osho,
if you are interested in helping him in his work,
they be respectful to his discourses and his meditation,
    the way Swami R is!

But if you feel your enlightenment,
is way beyond Osho as it seems,
    then drop sannyas,
drop the name Osho has given to you,
drop the superiority you carry of having lived with Osho,
    then why come to sannyas.org,
    open a website called satyadevablahblah.com, lokeshblahblah.com,
    and find your own audience,
why use a name of osho, photo of osho,
to find audience interested in Osho sannyas,
and then serving your blah blah to them,
then feeling that there must be some wisdom and beauty and love in your blah blah,
why you do not have the guts to be on your own,
use your own name, use your own forum,
why use Osho name and forum?
Are you a clone of Osho?

    Reality is that,
    you have fallen below Osho,
but assuming that you are beyond Osho,
but anybody who is in touch with Osho,
can see clearly that you are below Osho,
    A joker in reality!

Now the etcetras especially Ashok and Anand Anubodh!
You guys are stuck in your minds!
    I am standing here!
With your minds, you make a certain image of me,
I am not that image of yours,
but it is your freedom to create anything you like,
then you all agree amongst yourselves that this image,
agreed upon by all of you,
    is really the bodh ekantam,
then you send it to me,
i laugh at it for it reflects upon your creativity,
    some start banging that image,
they are banging their own creation,
    then they congratulate each other,
to have decimated that image of mine,
they say they have finished bodh ekantam!

    And i am here intact,
    in fact i am laughing,
at all the jokers doing so much hard work,
    Just enjoying your circus,
    your show!

    A story for you oldies!
In a town full of blind people walking with help of sticks,
one persons gets his blindness cured,
starts talking of light and starts walking differently without sticks!
    the blind people get offended,
they hound him, declare the talk of light as proof of madness,
the person with eye vision restored starts talking of light,
soon few blind persons come to him, listen to him,
    blind persons become disciples,
the person with his vision restored becomes master,

few disciples get glimpses of eye vision, they become devotees!

few disciples start parroting discourses on light and practice walking like master, they become clones and think they are cured of blindness and they are masters now!

Few disciples listen master talking on the darkness,
and they learn that from heart,
they too start hitting at the darkness in other blind people,
they remain blind but by thinking themselves as experts in finding blindness and hitting at it,
they thing they have become normal vision people,
they become senior disciples, the psychoanalysts, the therapists,
when they hit the other blind,
the other blind assume them to be people with normal vision,
but in fact they are as blind notwithstanding their presumptions,
so these so called senior disciples stop listening to master ,
    stop curing their own blindness,
they get busy with analysing other’s blindness!

then few devotees who had glimpses of normal vision,
go on listening to their master,
go on curing their own blindness,
one fine day they get fully cured,
    they get their eyevision back,
they start worshipping master more so ever,
    for his compassion,
    they start walking without sticks,
    they start walking like masters,
they start calling other blind people,
to be grateful to master osho,
    they start inspiring others to
get their vision restored, it is possible,
they have a magnetism, magnetism of restored vision!
Other disciples start flocking around them,
    They are excited,
They start getting glimpses of restored vision,
    They turn into devotees!

But the senior disciples the blind psychoanalysts,
    they get disturbed,
    their superiority is challenged,
they can not tolerate one among them with restored vision,
they start shouting that they are the people with eyes,

Just because the disciple with cured blindness
is talking of light and walking without sticks,
    just like the master,
they declare him to be a clone of master!

    Meanwhile they themselves
    Always anaysing darkness of others,
Walking with psychoanalytic stick of their own,
Consider themselves to be authentic and original,
    In reality authentically blind!

So younger disciples who are getting glimpses of vision,
    They see these senior disciples,
Totally blind, only the hairs greyed!

Those who have not had glimpses of restored vision,
While have to be under the confusion,
    Spread by senior psychoanalysts,
They can not figure out for themselves,
They are the only people listening to the seniors,
    Hence the desperation of seniors,
To spread lies about those few older disciples with restored vision,
Lies about their being clone of master!

The enlightened disciple with restored vision,
    Is helpless,
He can not walk with sticks now,
He is bound to talk more of light,
    Just like his master,
He can not walk with the help of stick of psychoanalytical mind!
He can not go on talking of darkness like the senior disciples!
He can not make this whole thing complicated like the senior disciples!
He can not become ungrateful to his master like the senior disciples!
He can not become devotionless like his senior disciples!
He can not become full of adoration for the darkness of faculties of mind!

    • satyadeva says:

You, Ekantam, don’t appear to realise one very simple thing, ie that people at SN are responding to how they perceive you to be as a person, according to how you express yourself here, where you have made an eminently unfavourable personal impression.

As I’ve already intimated, you come across as a conceited, upper middle-class, over-privileged, ‘religious’ twat, someone with minimal self-knowledge and even less humour, running scared of being ‘found out’ by basic psychological insight, a man who borrows both his words and manner of expression from a certain Swami R, an individual whose pretensions are belied by the arrogance of his manner.

Just another example of one of the more obnoxious types found in a particular sector of Indian society, laying your “I know better than you because I’m a real devotee” superiority trip on those who give you an honest response, something you’ve probably never had to deal with before in your 45 years, poor little chap! And your error is in interpreting such a response as conclusive evidence of so-called ‘spiritual failure’, when in fact the almost universal response to you here points to a major deficiency in you, ie in your very ordinary little self.

No use your playing the ‘holier than thou’ game at this place, bullshine detectors abound at this site (in case you haven’t noticed). Your approach and overall manner speaks volumes about you: you’ve failed the ‘human being’ test, Ekantam. And as a result, few, if any, seem to care what you write about. Is that simple enough for your melted mind to grasp?

  39. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Dear Satyadeva, lokesh and etcetras!
    It is very much understandable,
why you do not like osho discourses and meditation!
    Osho discourse is a device,
which shows you your true worth,
    in your inner journey,
in fact i remember osho saying,
that discourse have more value after enlightenment,
to get a conffirmation that you have arrived,
from as many aspects as possible!
Simple fact is that you all are,
so consumed up in creating ‘human being’ test,
    imagining sickness in others,
you have cease to look at your own reality!
Now Osho discourse is a mirror,
    it shows you your reality,
and you all do not want to face,
    your own reality,
for you are engrossed in showing,
other’s their reality as per your “Human being test”!

    You avoid osho discourses,
because you do not want to see your real face,
because you do not want to face “sincere disciple test” of Osho!

What value the opinions of those at SN carry,
    who have stopped meditation,
who have stopped listening to osho discourses,
who have become blind loose cannons,
in the service of their petty egos!

    Osho had cautioned,
if some body is seeing sickness in you,
he is a priest, he can not be a master or mystic,
    mystic sees beauty in you,
and if goes on seeing sickness in others,
sooner or later he is going to become a microscope as far as other’s sickness is concerned,
but he becomes blind to his very own mountains of sickness,
for a person who is always looking at other’s sickness,
gradually and gradually becomes blind to his own sickness,
and gets under delusion that he has no sickness left in him!

When i am listening to discourses,
osho is showing me my beauty and sickness both,
The only hope for you oldies is
    Osho discourses!
    Osho meditation!
or else find an enlightened one in present!

    • satyadeva says:

Ekantam, I know you’re desperately training to be even more of a clone than The Clone Himself, but I’m afraid you haven’t a clue who you’re talking to, this is all irrelevant bullshine.

As I said before, make an appointment asap with a consultant rather than your gp, as your guruitis has reached an irredeemably chronic stage.

Do you not feel any shame at the manner in which you defile his legacy, by taking cheap potshots at his name? All this unholy stinky arm-pit bitchiness you have surrounded yourself with, clearly reflects the state of your mind Etcetera! Open your eyes you bantering idiot, can you not see? 40. shantam prem says:

One of the advantage for Ekantam and future generations is exactly the same as with Jesus, Buddha or other departed masters. You have words, Ok gap between the words, photos, imaginations and over all presence, but not present like they were during their life time.
I am sure, if Ekantam spends few years in the commune of Rajneesh or say Arun ji, most probably he will not have the same image for them as it is from the distance. Many buttons can be pushed, many cover up dealings he can witness.
I can imagine, gentlemen he is accussing has spend hundreds of times more hours on meditation than his daily quota.

Not for my personal sake but for the benefit of Osho’s people, i wish some kind of living throbing community as Osho left. interactions among the disciples really helps in sharpening the process.

  41. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Poor Satyadeva!
    once upon a time,

Listening to Osho – left long ago!
Incredible energy of Osho – just a faint memory of glimpses left over!
Present status – accepted himself to be his stupid little mind!
Present occupation – judging his master and his disciples with his stupid little mind!
What is truth – his judgments, his stupid thoughts!
What is heart and being – emotional babble!
His friends – those who have lost the disciples qualities!
His foes – who have any similarity with Osho and Swami R!
He does not know – why he is still carrying name Satyadeva?
He gets irritated by – Osho discourses, Osho meditations,Osho songs, Bodh Ekantam, Swami R !!! !
He has no clue to – his heart, his being, his soul?
His confusion – who is bodh ekantam? how old he is?
Who is conspiring against him – Swami R, bodh ekantam!
Criteria of being a true human being – Certification issued by grey matter in Satyadeva’s skull!

You just don’t like it up you (as the saying goes).

But you’re right about one thing, albeit clumsily expressed in your last line above:

That I trust my personal assessment of you, Ekantam – the more so with every post you make here.

  42. shantam prem says:

In a way, It is good Ekantam did not get Osho energy, Osho presence and all that stuff. Simple fact is people who got all that have also not proven better than the average joe.

  43. Arpana says:

    Which includes you.
Being round Osho gave you nothing.

  44. shantam prem says:

If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energyfield to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.

This is the way nature has evolved, science has evolved. Humanity has not destroyed the basic wheel but modified rectified and refined to the point, even flying machines cannot take off or land without the simple wheel.

Had Osho poured all His energy just for those few thousand people who took direct benefit and then run away?
Let me be included, No spiritual master has got such thankless snubs in the religious history of master_disciple bonding.

    • Arpana says:

If your heart is not aching with the longing for Christmas as it was when you were a child, in my view, you have got nothing from Christmas then.

Has Santa Claus poured all His energy just for those children then who took direct benefit and then run away?
If you dont yearn for Christmas as it was when you were a child you have snubbed Santa Claus cruelly.

  45. Ashok says:

Re. The Esteemed Brother Bodh Ekhamtan

“You can lead an ass to water, but you can’t make it think!” (me – not particularly original, I admit!)

Thrashing and trashing the ass in question, only seems to make it more stubborn. In fact, I suspect it is feeding off and enjoying, (in some unhealthy way), all the attention it is receiving. Time perhaps to let it wander off and ruminate on its own.
However, having taken a long look at somebody else’s insanity, I will allow myself one last parting shot before I return to the comfort of my own sane insanity:

‘If you expect nothing from somebody you will never be disappointed’ (Sylvia Plath)

  46. shantam prem says:

It is really my bad luck, i have such low mind as my crtique. When others on this site, do some critical work, there is some gravity behind, some real life adventure.
Can i see your face, Arpana?
May be i could learn something about facial analysis or may be i should imagine someone from, “Afganistan school of Religious Studies.”

  47. Bodh Ekantam says:

    Shantam Prem!
“If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energyfield to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.”
Since coming to SN, what I have encountered is only junk from Osho’s mystery school!
You have been the only exception and I do not mind your criticism, I look into that carefully!
Good thing is that your thought process in honest and upright ! Perceptions and conclusions might differ and that is healthy!
Another good thing about you, your heart is alive and kicking and you have an ability to appreciate things of heart!

“If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energyfield to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.”
Osho had energy field and alive heart full of longing to give his buddhafield to any body who came! And he fulfilled his hearts longing by sharing that with thousands!
Shantam, I have just read Darshan diary to get a feel what kind of people came to Osho, and I was dumbstuck that he never derided even the weirdest of them, Osho was very patient, made even the weirdest of them to feel ok about themselves, suggested some thing unique to them to work upon themselves, treated them with dignity and love, and then gave them freedom too!
I read about other Buddhas too, they all have that thing common in them, the ability to accept even the weirdest of people as an equal human being, showering on him their love and grace, and finding a way for him so that he can travel on that to find his inner Buddha!
Somewhere Osho said that very clearly that if you go to some wise person and he tries to convince you that you are weird and not worthy of being human being, know very well that the person is not wise, that person is a priest or psychoanalyst, that person can not be a Buddha or the wise one! Avoid that person as you avoid plague!
Osho said a Buddha has been all in his past, he has been the weirdest himself, he knows that, he had accepted that too in him, and then he was able to move onto Buddha-hood, had he condemned the weirdness in him, he would not have been able to move on, so by his very own experience, he can not condemn even the most weirdest person on the earth!

“If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energy field to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.”
Shantam prem, this is the seed and the jewel in you! I bow to you for this! All my gucchamis for this! This is the only thing which fits with the name of Sannyasnews, Photo of Osho meditating on sannyas news, Photo of Samadhi of Osho!
It is ok! You may not have today that energy field to give to the future sannyasins! But you have that longing, You have that heart – ache! That is Sannyas! Only this deserves to be on Sannyasnews! Rest is junk! I really congratulate you for sharing that on Sannyas News! This is the oasis on the otherwise desert of Sannyas News!

“If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energy field to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.”
Shantam Prem! I thank you a lot for this! It has gone straight to my heart and energised me! You really inspired me! I cherish you, I respect you!
That is what any senior disciple can do at the least! He can inspire those who came after Osho has left the body! You need not necessarily have the energy field to inspire younger ones!

“If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energy field to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.”
The other old junk disciples especially Lokesh and Satyadeva and etceteras! I really appreciate Osho for having given sannyas to even such people who are doing just the opposite of what Osho did!
Osho accepted even the weirdest of people as human beings worthy of his love! These old junk disciples they can not even take disciples of Osho as human beings!
Osho’s heart was aching to give his energy field to his sannyasins! These old junk disciples, to them hear is emotional babble, they have no heart, they just have a junk mind which is aching to label all kinds of sickness on the disciples of Osho! Their junk mind has basic human being test in which only junk minds like them can pass the basic human being test! Any disciple with some heart is bound to fail that basic human being test of these junk disciples!
Osho used to energise even the most energyless person! These Old junk disciples can de-energise even the disciples of their own master, if the disciple is not alert!

“If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energy field to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.”
So once I found this sad reality that these old junk disciples just have their mind! I tried to probe into that as well!
I asked Satyadeva in particular : 1. what is his formal education level; 2. Has he done any course in Psychology?; 3. How much Osho or Other Masters he has read?; 4.How much Meditations he has done? 5. What experience he had as a Meditator?; 5. Any thing else, he might think that makes him eligible to conduct a basic human being test on others?
So far Satyadeva has not answered a single of these!
These are my open questions for all old junk disciples of Osho on SN….Lokesh, Parmartha, Arpana, Ashok, Frank, Honeysucklerose, and rest!
Till they have guts to answer, their opinions about me have no value for me!

“If your heart is not aching with the longing to give the same energy field to the future sannyasins, in my view, you have got nothing from Osho.”
Such hearts are rare! But there are such hearts moving around! But they are getting all the abuse from Old junk disciples of Osho!
Such hearts have touched me! They have made me feel the grace they are living in!
Swami Vairagya Amrit, Ma Dharma Jyoti, Swami Rajneesh – Such hearts – They are grace of Osho for us who never saw him in body!
Such hearts – they energise me always – to keep moving in – glimpse come naturally in their presence – keep moving in – they are a reminder — I have to move in -!

More extended verbal diahorrea from you, Ekantam, including these little gems concerning Shantam, the first of which you appear to have ‘borrowed’:

“Since coming to SN, what I have encountered is only junk from Osho’s mystery school!
You have been the only exception and I do not mind your criticism, I look into that carefully!
Good thing is that your thought process in honest and upright!”

Now would the so-called ‘seeker’ who wrote this sub-standard attempt at satire – albeit at a thoroughly worthy target, of course – kindly own up, please? Was it you, Frank? If so, shame on you, why let the muddled old sentimental fool off so lightly? Try harder next time, ok?!

“Such hearts are rare! But there are such hearts moving around! But they are getting all the abuse from Old junk disciples of Osho!”

“Such hearts” are overflowing with sentimental codswallop. Your foolishness, Ekantam, is an inability to discriminate between love and sentiment, between love and emotion.

A common failure in the devotee type, especially among Indians, who’ve rarely, if ever, been taught the difference. So it’s perhaps not your fault, just another slice of religious/cultural conditioning you’re carrying, and – unforgivably – trying to impose on others who have no need for such unnecessary baggage.

      • frank says:

        SD.
        it wasn’t me.
reality has pretty much killed satire by the look of it!
        I don’t read dr isabgol ekrantams` posts,myself.
from an aesthetic point of view,I would rather crawl naked along the floor of a crowded indian public toilet in the ayodhya slums during an an outbreak of dysentery in the middle of a hindu/muslim riot.

      • swamishanti says:

This wasn’t satire, SD, Bodh Ekantam is a real Indian sannyasin who was writing here. Frank started creating ‘Anand Yogi’ out of him for years, which has been put into Lokesh’s book.

    • satyadeva says:

      Ekantam, you say:

“I asked Satyadeva in particular : 1. what is his formal education level; 2. Has he done any course in Psychology?; 3. How much Osho or Other Masters he has read?; 4.How much Meditations he has done? 5. What experience he had as a Meditator?; 5. Any thing else, he might think that makes him eligible to conduct a basic human being test on others?”

First, I don’t recall having seen these questions before, but seeing you’re so anxious for answers to find out whether I meet your elitist criteria, you can have a few. And then of course – at least in your deeply conditioned eyes – you’ll be far better equipped to decide whether my opinion of you is worth considering. (What a joke!).

For a start, your basic premise – typical of an over-privileged, elitist Indian, of course (and I wonder why you didn’t include questions about my family background and income) – ie that one has to be academically and, in this case, somehow ‘spiritually’ qualified in order to assess the basic humanity and common sense of another, is fundamentally flawed. All that’s required are the same qualities, basic humanity and common sense, although several decades of varied life experience is pretty useful as well.

(If that’s news to you then I suggest your own life experience hasn’t taught you enough yet. Ever considered trying a so-called ‘therapy’ group – you know, one where they don’t let you off lightly? – might be just what you need to undermine those layers of conceited ignorance).

So, although basically largely irrelevant to the central issue, in response to your curiosity, I am in a similar boat to pretty well everyone else who frequents this place.

The bare details you requested are:
Yes, I have studied psychology, both experientially and intellectually, in and out of training courses (as well as in terms of ongoing self-observation and enquiry).
Yes, I’ve read countless books by Osho (including editing one of them) and other Masters.
Yes,meditation of one form or another has been a central part of my daily life since January 1968.
I met Osho on nine occasions, sent (and received replies from) around 6 or more letters to him.
I have practised his own meditation methods for many hundreds, if not thousands of hours, watched and heard countless of his discourses.
I have also spent very long periods with other teachers.
And finally – and far from least important – I have enjoyed a considerably longer (and very likely more varied) life than you, Ekantam.

Oh, almost forgot, to satisfy your intellectual snobbery – yes, I do have a university degree, thanks very much.

      Enough for today?

  48. shantam prem says:

    University Degree?
Just by wearing bra, An Indian won’t beome a British babe and vice versa.

Indian master, desperate times, wave in the west; crop of flowers and weeds!

    • satyadeva says:

Not sure exactly what you’re getting at here, Shantam, but remember that it’s Ekantam who likes to place emphasis on degrees, qualifications etc. – as I said, coming from a typically elitist Indian mentality.

  49. Abilash says:

I am one of the new sannyasins who would be very happy to receive one of the boxes, of course not for free. If you want to make me happy, I appreciate any feedback to: abilashtosho @gmail.com LOVE!

    • swamishanti says:

Buddha’s tooth relic is located in the royal palace complex of the former Kingdom of Kandy, Sri Lanka.

The Tibetans are more secretive about their relics and have apparently hidden many things.

Perhaps you are one of the newly hatched. If no-one gives or sells you a box, if you want to find parts of Osho’s body, they are building a collection of some relics up in Osho Tapoban:

      https://tapoban.com/project-his-presence/

      • Lokesh says:

I’ve visited the tooth temple in Kandy several times. Relics have always been a part and parcel of mass religions. As for the tooth in the temple in Kandy, it is over six inches long, meaning that the Lord Buddha must have had a very large head. How about the Shroud of Turin?

        • swamishanti says:

According to the scholar Charles Boxer, the original tooth was “publicly pounded to smithereens with a mortar and pestle by the Roman Catholic Archbishop of Goa”, as one of the results of the Church’s attempt to eradicate native religions, in approximately 1550.

  50. Abilash says:

Most people here were fortunate enough to have known Osho in his physical form, but I, unfortunately, did not. I am not searching for the Turin Shroud or Osho’s bones. The small box, lovingly crafted by sannyasins and adorned with an Osho artifact, carries a completely different message.

I do not expect miracles from it or believe that it will help me open the third eye upon opening. It is simply a historical time document from an era in which I was regrettably absent. Still looking forward to it:

    abilashtosho @gmail.com. LOVE!

  51. Lokesh says:

    “A historical time document”.
Abilash, could you please explain what that means exactly? The word ‘document’ usually refers to written information. Of course, there is nothing written on Osho’s nail and hair clippings except perhaps DNA. Perhaps you are planning on cloning Osho. If so, don’t waste your time. Many attempts have been made at creating Osho clones and they all failed miserably.

The Osho gift box was Laxmi’s idea. At the time, those carved boxes were viewed as significant. In retrospect, it was just another bit of fun, nonsense to get the fans excited, and forty years down the line it still works for fans like you.

    • swamishanti says:

Boxes and malas. Hair and nail clippings, skulls and skeletons.

Dr. Shyam Singha was buried with his mala on. He was banned from the ashram in Pune One by Laxmi after he went a bit mad and made noise and laughed and danced for three days and nights with satori. Or was it enlightenment? Some people around him thought so later. And banned later for other issues, such as insisting to massage Osho’s feet and give him acupressure which he didn’t want, and not wearing the orange and mala , most of the time when outside of India.

Osho gave him a verbal Zen hit at Rajneeshpuram when Shyam was in London, said he was a quack, and he was refused when he offered Osho treatment for his poisoning, yet he still loved his Master.

And he returned to Pune in 2000 for the millennium celebrations.
