Swami Chaitanya Keerti

Dear Bloggers,

Swami Chaitanya Keerti, pictured above, is the power behind the Osho World organisation in Delhi. He  was recently, very briefly,  in the UK and then in America leading meditation workshops.  We received this missive and thereby recommend the link below.

Dear Editors of Sannyas News,
I recently interviewed Swami Chaitanya Keerti for my internet radio show Perfectly Imperfect while he had come here to the US for his ” Rising in Love” meditation retreats and it is posted now at this link:

https://www.spreaker.com/show/the-perfectly-imperfect-talk-show

It is 80 minutes and Swamiji provided some beautiful insights and messages of love and light for Osho sannyasins.

If someone listens to these 85 minutes in one go, I happily will give 12 Euros reward for this effortless effort.

      Yes, Swamishanti,

I also preferred the chai chats Nirmal had with Chaitanya Keerti (on ‘Zouddha’). The present thread topic presented by an (Indian (?) woman) moderator with her internet radio (in Cleveland, Ohio) and the chat on youtube with her was a bit strange for me; in the offers of ´Perfectly-Imperfect´ broadcasting, Keerti then was next in line, preceded with a ‘chanelled-Mother-Mary’ contribution and other stuff in that direction. Inter-net…

      America, America….

Guess it’s not at all easy to go there with a mission to present Meditation and an Indian Master and Mystic like Osho to folks in remote places, and especially now in these times, these days.(!).

The Zouddha chats with Nirmal I simply liked and have listened to that before, and today played it again, more as ‘rescue remedy’ mental drops which did let me forget about this Cleveland broadcasting.

But anyway, I have often read Keerti´s contributions in Osho News as he is a regular contributor, and I feel him more natural than Arun, who is also travelling a lot, isn´t he?

Why I did it at all?
Because I feel quite alienated by the Presentation here in Munich of the ´Leela-website´, where ´Osho` doesn´t appear any more as a name for a person in a body but as a Patent of OIF.

And in the former White Robe Meditation it’s recommended, so it appears on the website, to shout “Osho” as a mantra, a mantra which then is said to nourish the ‘Hara’ (one evening a week).

Otherwise, there are daily morning Dynamics happening there (and elsewhere too but not by OIF-proof facilitators) and two or three Kundalini Meditations and other Meditative groups happening every now and then, like No Mind, Mystic Rose and the like.

And there is a centre leader who knows me very well (from the former TAO Centre), but rushing by when I meet her in the city, turning her head abruptly to another direction when (quite recently) rushing by. Last time we spoke together was when this place (Leela) was opened, and that is ages ago, it seems.

As Tan mentioned, times are changing. And as Shantam mentioned, there is still a lot hidden in the closets, but some of the elders find some ways, maybe, to reach the younger generation.

Me, every now and then, I consciously enjoy and love to listen to someone who is not presenting Osho as a ´Product´or a name of a ´Patent’.

      Bitter-sweet is my chai today.

      Madhu

      P.S:
Chaitanya Keerti is for me more enjoyable than Arun in the youtube areas – but I have to say that I didn´t personally join one of their Meditation Retreats or Meetings.

      • Vijay says:

Arun, the idiot who said that the grace of Osho saved his Centre while the rest of Kathmandu was a disaster. I was there, in his Centre.

He is a fraud. The typical religious, stupid monkey, performing pujas in front of the statue of Osho.

        • satyadeva says:

He might be, in certain respects, “an idiot” (aren’t we all, in our various ways?) but why not also allow him credit for the initiatives he’s taken, his commitment and what he’s achieved over there, from which many have benefited (perhaps including even you, Vijay?).

          • Vijay says:

Benefits ? Yes, I came to know another megalomaniac playing the role of the master. Benefits? Yes, I keep distance from him and from his big mouth.

        • kusum says:

Some people make business out of religions – in the name of Guru. And some people do puja (worship) in front of dead parents’ photos too. There are missionaries & there are meditators….

  2. shantam prem says:

Even the victory of Donald Trump does not give the hope there is a possibility of someone like Chaitanya Keerti or Shantam Prem to become chairman of Osho Foundation International.

World around Osho Foundation has become so dull, stale and plastic that human hearts simply cannot throb there.
I have said again and again, politics around the world is evolving but not that master’s work who insisted His whole life about change, disruption and evolution.

One can ask, “Is meditation a substitute for religion in the opium effect?”

    • Lokesh says:

Shantam says, “One can ask, “Is meditation a substitute for religion in the opium effect?” ”

Only one could ask that if they were unfamiliar with actual meditation. Religion and meditation are poles apart in the sense that Shantam is referring to, as in religion is opium for the masses, which it is.

Real religion, as in what takes place in the privacy of the positive sanctuary of your own being, and meditation are one and the same thing. Here there is no question of being drugged into a stupor, but rather awakening from a stupor, a dream in which all manner of illusions are taken to be real, including politics, which at heart is a very low level activity. Look closely at the face of Donald Trump: he is, at heart, a brute.

      • shantam prem says:

“Look closely at the face of Donald Trump: he is, at heart, a brute.”

        Dear Lokesh,
I hope you have heard too, “looks are very deceptive.” Religious, spiritual people in the robes have very calm and serene look. Does it mean they will give the borrowed money back?

There are million and one instances in human history where awakened types have proven to be more sleepy than average Joe.

Life is too mysterious to be divided between, “This one is awakened, that one is asleep” categories.”

        • Lokesh says:

Shantam says, “Life is too mysterious to be divided between, “This one is awakened, that one is asleep” categories.”

If that is the case, why describe Osho as an enlightened master?

          • shantam prem says:

Only Lokesh on this site can ask such point-blank question about Osho. If someone else asks such question most of the time there is no depth but only mental sharpness.

Personally speaking, this enlightenment thing is more a matter of belief than a hard fact reality. That is why enlightened one of one person is simply Mr. Anyone for others.

            • satyadeva says:

To summarise what one contemporary master has said:
“There are realisations and realisations”, ie many levels along the way, and there is no end to it all, so teachers and even masters are likely to speak from different internal places, different perspectives. Thus, one man’s ‘enlightenment’ is likely to be somehow ‘lacking’, his teachings ‘flawed’, according to another ‘enlightened one’.

Moreover, not every teacher is a master, and no single teacher or master is for everyone, or even necessarily ‘for ever’ for any given individual. Yet, behind it all, in a way they’re all working together, however different might be their expressions, including criticism, however virulent, of others in the same field.

            • Arpana says:

I have wondered if enlightenment is when we know there is no such thing.

          • Arpana says:

Flippin’ ‘eck, Lokesh, Shantam considers you his equal. I didn’t realise you were THAT special.

            We are not worthy.

            • Lokesh says:

In Spain when you describe someone as being ‘special’ it means they are a bit nuts. The degree of being nuts is captured in the pronunciation.

Shantam es un tio bueno, pero el es tambien muy especial.

              • shantam prem says:

Lokesh, is there a single post of yours which does not proclaim your elevated sense of being special? Special not in the sense that you are a technocrat genius but living the essence of spirituality whereas others are still in kindergarten.

Anyway, I have never seen a single Sagittarius who does not think him/herself ‘special’. Even if they say, “I am just like everybody”, it is more or less elephant trying to convince rats and cats, “We have the same Godly essence inside.”

          • Arpana says:

I mean, like Shantam considers Donald Trump his equal, so that means, Lokesh, that he sees you up there with him and Donald Trump.

So that means you have been elevated to the holy trinity of Shantam, Donald Trump – third in holiness after Trump.

            Awesome.

            • shantam prem says:

Other than you, Arpana, I consider all the old-timers as my friends. Among friends there is no upper or lower.

            • Lokesh says:

              Gee whizz! I’ve been thunderstruck.

My point is that if there were no divide between people who were awake and those who were not there would be no masters and disciples and, following Shantam’s logic we would all be living in the great mystery, which, of course, has its value but, on the other hand, can be viewed as completely flakey. Like, man, no need to think about anything because it’s all a big mystery, we just have to be…meanwhile, the Donald Trumps of this world steamroll their way into town, take control of the ship and steer it fuck knows where, but aren’t those dangerous rocks over there?

The microcosm of this in Sannyaslandia was Sheela playing the great dictator at the Ranch, trying to get away with murder. Meanwhile, the majority of rancheros were so busy surrendering to the mystery of Existence the whole beautiful scene went down the tubes, massive resources squandered and everyone goes back to square one, without passing go on the road to nowhere.

Yeah, it’s a mystery all right, especially for those who refuse to think for themselves and question all authorities.

Of course, Shantam is talking nonsense as usual which, come to think of it, worked for Trump so why not Shantam? One day his name will be up in lights, saying Sri Sri Shantam, CEO of OIF tonight.

      • madhu dagmar frantzen says:

“Real religion, as in what takes place in the privacy of the positive sanctuary of your own being, and meditation are one and the same thing.” (Lokesh)

The only contribution and report I can relate to here these days and in this thread, Lokesh. And how to protect this precious space and stance? Or to invite to such, while facing quite some very dark spaces while relating to each other?

The thread topic is dealing with an old friend who tries it his way. And what are we doing here? I am very shocked about the disservice regarding that energetic quality and climate we all would need so dearly.

And I am sad that an old bard said goodbye for this lifetime these hours, Leonard Cohen died yesterday.
“You want it darker” was what he left to us in his last album. I will miss his voice, knowing that it is not really gone with his body. Time to say “thank you”. Again.

        Madhu

        P.S:
If anyone of you, SN editors or UK visitors of this website have seen and heard Chaitanya Keerti when he was in the UK recently, would you mind to share?

“… politics around the world is evolving but not that master’s work who insisted his whole life about change, disruption and evolution.”

As far as the OIMR in Pune is concerned, Shantam, I am pretty much with you on this one. It is like a flower that once bloomed and died.

However, is it not also true that the seeds the flower produced have been scattered all around the globe? I am thinking of places like Angsbacka (Sweden), Kalani (Big Island, Hawaii), Zegg (Germany), Buddha Hall (Corfu, Greece), OshoRisk (Denmark), etc. etc?

All of these projects were originally inspired by Osho’s work and sannyasins, to varying degrees. And moreover, imho, they have embodied “change, disruption and evolution.”, and are continuing to do so.

      • shantam prem says:

Ashok, this post of yours is worth discussing. It validates my point about Pune. About other Centres I have never given any statement.

I hope those living in fucking denial will read again and again, “As far as the OIMR in Pune is concerned, Shantam, I am pretty much with you on this one. It is like a flower that once bloomed and died.”

        • Arpana says:

No wonder you’re so enthralled by Donald Trump, Shantam. He, just like you, believes, whatever crap he spouts is the objective truth; and anyone who agrees with him is also speaking the objective truth; and just like you, he believes anyone who disagrees with him is evil.

          • shantam prem says:

Arpana, you have a very fanatical mind-set; a little puppy who barks on every other who passes along the street.

I ask Satyadeva, is this guy not worthy of your psychoanalysis?

  3. Arpana says:

Shantam carped in his usual, it’s always about him, way:

“Even the victory of Donald Trump does not give the hope there is a possibility of someone like…Shantam Prem to become chairman of Osho Foundation International.”

Well, look at that. A bit of good news on this awful day. Shantam has finally realised he’s never going to walk though the Gateless Gate in Poona and take charge.
