In a press conference she was asked about Osho. She replied that she reads Osho and loves his work and is a kind of hippy sannyasin.

She is impressed with what Osho has said about rebellion and creativity and how creativity is the greatest form of rebellion.

”Through my friend Deepak Chopra I came across Osho’s books which gave me another deeper shift in my life. I regret I did not met him in person, and I feel sorry the US Government missed such an opportunity back in 86.”
Madonna, Singer and Performer,

“I was inspired by Osho’s wisdom when I wrote the song ‘How fragile we all are’; Reading his books gave me hope for humanity. It is a must for everybody to have a look into his words …..”
Sting, Singer and Preformer,

“When we wrote and prepared for shooting Vanilla Sky, I constantly checked in with Osho’s insides. It is not so easy to present the unconscious mind with images and a story. Osho is the only one who can perfectly explain it all, the inner and the outer and that helped me and my team immensely”
Tom Cruise, actor

“I’ve been charmed from reading his books.”
Frederico Fellini

“I read all his books.”
Shirley MacLaine

“Osho is one of India’s greatest mystics…. I see him as one of the world’s great teachers, thinkers, philosophers and guides of our times. I have enormous respect for his world vision and the kind of International Communities he is building. I have always felt his influence in my life.”
Kabir Bedi, international film star

“His incredible taped discourse lectures and books have inspired me, and millions of others, on the path of self-evolution… He is like a great bell tolling, Awaken, Awaken, Awaken!”
James Coburn, actor

    yeah,she`s smart.
    she`s certainly read the books.
she describes her artform as ….
“a fantasy so great that when we are together it seems real”
    that sounds like satsang,alright.
or to be more precise,as i have been saying all along
    enlightentertainment is the way……..
    that`s a prophecy…..

I used to watch Paparazzi in the local pub. She is only 24 now and as far as I can see she writes the music and the lyrics. And she plays the music and designs the videos.

Somehow this kind of report leaves me singularly unimpressed. They should be reading my books…not Osho’s. It’s an outrage.

      Ed’s Note:
Lokesh (Luke Mitchell) has written two fictional works.
One is called Mind Bomb published by Melrose Books in 2007. The second is called Boderline Dreamtime published by Spiderwize in 2010.
They are available through Amazon and both worth reading.

      • Teertha says:

Lokesh, the premise of your ‘Mind Bomb’ sounds intriguing and movie-worthy. Have you written a script? Off the top, two films that come to mind are ‘The Beast’, a 1981 war flick about a stranded Russian battle tank in Afghanistan. It has a scene in the movie where the hero is bound to a rock with a live grenade under his head — he has to move to escape, but if he does, the bomb goes off. The other movie that comes to mind is ‘Buried’, a recent flick with Ryan Reynolds about a guy buried alive in a coffin during the Iraq war, with only a lighter and a cell phone. Very well done movie.

Hi Teertha, i saw a film a few years back about a scene in Yugoslavia. A guy is killed so they put his body on top of an anti-personel mine as a booby trap. Then the guy wakes up.
Yes, their is a movie script that will need a treatment-
My story is a first in regards Osho…I use him as a character in a fictional story…although he only really starts to appear in my second book, which is a sequel.

Glamor is an interesting drug. So easy to become mesmerized by the glitterati, and to think that all the attention they receive actually amounts to something special about them. Some of you here may remember Terence Stamp, who was a sannyasin in the late ’70s. He had a good role in Peter Brook’s 1979 movie version ‘Meetings With Remarkable Men’, where he played Gurdjieff’s friend and teacher Prince Lubovedsky. He’s one case of an actor connected to Osho who was more than a mediocre performer (like Cruise) and had more than a passing interest in Osho (like most of the others).

As for the above quotes, most are rather dated (Fellini croaked two decades ago), but Osho was a natural fit with glamor, being such a charismatic himself. I understand Prince Charles came very close to meeting Osho in the ’70s, but decided on it being too risky or something for his image. Imagine the sovereign of England being a sannyasin, and being crowned wearing their mala. Imagine the outrage. Would have made for great theatre.

In our ongoing series .. ’Tips for Change’ we invite readers to send in their very own home grown advice on how they made an everlasting and deep change in their lives.
This week we hear from Swami DadAron dadoo Run-Run (made famous by that fifties lyric) of Nepal..

’ Ah yes very good acchha ok dokey .. is the microphone on? .. testing testing..

Once after a Lady Gargoyle show I went back home and I realised what a show life really was .. suddenly it came,, wobble wobble haha …haaa ….in a flash…the realisation.. that everything was Osho….
Going into the kitchen…. I undressed completely and put my underpants on my head… and rushed out the front door laughing and jumping for joy…
Just then who should pop down the road than my old friend and Osho’s, and now huge lady Gargoyle fan .. the Prime Minister of Nepal…out for his usual morning motorcade inspecting the garden utopia of well manicured lawns and commune dwellings we loosely call Shaggy-La…

’’ DadA Run-Run’’ said the PM.
    I replied, .. ’I am.. I am what do you think i’m doing ’

’’Ha ha’ , replied the Prime Minister .. ’You joker, what are you up to this time.. a new message , an insight , a worthwhile spiritual bit of energy sharing ?’’

’No, Ive been to a Lady Gargoyle concert’ I replied….

’’Ah yes It was. don’t tell me…rubbish..accha.’’Pants’’’ as they say in youth circles.. i gettit .. very good Daddo Ron-Ron.. mind you don’t catch a chill.’’,said the smiling PM.
And with that the Nepali armed guard hustled him back into his awaiting bullet proof flying swan designer Rolls Royce to take him on another fact finding mission in downtown Nepal….. complete with free give aways of Lady Gargoyle CD’s and bundles of marks and spencer underpants as free gifts to the poor and needy ….
’’ One day I shall rename this country Oshostan..or perhaps Gargleland’’ he mused quietly to himself…. as out the RollsRoyce car window he spied a large pot-bellied man being wrestled to the ground…
The PM wizzed the electric window down..
.’’Pants, Pants ha hahaha….Gaga is Osho-mad and…. so are you’’, he called ..

Just imagine, what will be the outcome when Ma Angela Markel, Ma Hillary Clinton, Swami Nicolas Sarakozy and Swami David Cameron go for a three weeks crash course in Meditation at Osho International Meditation Resorts Pvt. Ltd, Pune India?

They will simply stop speaking with each other. Ignoring the other is the best way to avoid the mind conforntaions, a must for the world peace and its financial stabilty!!
(It is a realistic satire. I know you won’t get it, if you have not participated at stand up comedies at the Ashram)
