Madhukar Thompsom

Swami Madhukar aka Swami Dhyan Hareesh died from a fatal traffic accident on 23rd May.
Madhu was born in Germany 22nd June 1949 and actively participated in Osho’s communes.
He has been living recently in Ainakatti (Tamil Nadu) and felt at home in his chosen “Motherland India”.
Madukar published many cartoons of sannyas life. In the early days of sannyasnews we used his cartoons to head up the home page. In remembrance of Madukar here are a few of his cartoons.

    Wasn’t there another cartoonist from England who also died some years ago. I recall black and white cartoons.

    Yes, perhaps the best sannyasin cartoonist of them all. His name was Yatri, and he published cartoons in Pune one, but they were not “understood” by Sheela and gang, and he was never asked to produce cartoons after 1981. They appeared in the old Rajneesh Times as I remember.
    Other quite good London based cartoonists were Prem Punam (male) who did a good cartoon series making fun of the anti cult movement called “The Man from Inform”. And Prakrati. They both contributed to the forerunner of Sannyas News called “Her and Now” magazine in the mid- eighties.

    Sorry Alok, did not complete this. I dont know Yatri’s state of mortality, and I dont know if he was English. But others may know so please post here.
