This thread is for those, who think Osho is dead and gone.
No Problem..with this assumption they make the light of Jesus and Christianity stronger. -

Exercise was the way of Osho life, in Budhha Hall amidst sannyasin, though pattern was different to what we do in our daily routine. His mental exercises too were very high. His body has become a hollow bamboo with minimum weight as required to continue living. His thoughts with thoughtlessness and remaining in meditative state [...]

It can also be said that Osho died of natural causes, as I remember a Heart attack was mentioned on the death certificate. Not so uncommon in men of 59 who have lived a life largely without exercise. Osho was a great Master as you say Alok, but I dont think he was interested in [...]

Shantam, A “Religion” was created during the Ranch period, it was called “Rajneeshism”. It was Sheela’s suggestion. She rationalised it by saying we needed a recognised religion to give Osho the status of a religious leader, which would allow him to stay in the USA indefinitely. After Sheela left the commune, the Book of Rajneeshism [...]

Bingo, it is not in this case me who is saying that the Ranch had become a fascist type place. It was Osho – and the discourse in which he most alluded to it was destroyed. I lived through this period as a commune member. It was not so marvelous. Many, like me, felt we [...]

SD, I just don’t agree with the idea that it is never possible to make a rational intelligent judgement about someone. You seem to believe that every judgement has emotional roots in the unconscious, an idea derived from Freud. Whilst I agree this does happen sometimes, I think if you have examined your unconscious enough, [...]

The destruction of Osho’s Discourse, December 19 th, 1984 December 19 th, 1984 was a watershed in every sense for both Osho and Sannyas. For the first time Osho publicly criticised the organisation that Sheela had created around him. Up until that point, at least publicly, Osho had always seemed to support the organisation and Sheela…[Read more]

SD, Einstein’s statement about common sense is a witty statement, that is all. I would not use the phrase “common sense” because it can mean almost anything. Maybe one of the things Parmartha means by common sense is “Of course Osho was not poisoned in jail. The US Government would not do such a thing.” [...]

Satya deva, Can you explain with examples, regarding “Perfect devotion” in connection with Osho. I think very seldom Osho projected himself as a divine deity. Most of the people came to Him because of His audios and books and the powerful insights regarding our interior world and the possible techniques to penetrate this unexplored terriotory. [...]

The following story made me to think about the proverb, Buddhas are born before their time. Osho, one of the Buddha of last century was making the world stair at Him, because of His luxurious life style and few hundred rich people around Him. He even got the nick name, ” Rich men´s guru”… I [...]

I do not think I have “deserted my individual discrimination.” I always use my intelligence. Einstein said “Common sense is the set of all beliefs acquired before the age of eighteen.”

I sleep well. Maybe you misunderstood SD. I dont experience this as a problem but I can see those I would call devotees struggle with their common sense, and also with the grains of calvinism that is endemic in their devotional psychology. How can the Master be wrong? or perhaps misled by his advisers, etc?? [...]

Just had a friend visiting who has been living in Goa for the last decade. He thinks the Goans are becoming increasingly anti-foreigner and using them as a scapegoat. Taking that in to account it will be interesting to see how Swami Rajneesh’s story progresses.

Report partly taken from the Times of India. Panaji : Tribals from a South Goa village have asked the district administration to keep tabs on an ashram started by Swami Rajneesh, a disciple of the late spiritual guru Osho, fearing “terrorist activity” at the site. He, however, says it is intended to bring in development [...]
