Thanks, Vartan. Most helpful.

Yes, that is the cover from the 1970's edition, and as we remember it - and which would have been the one upsetting law enforcement in Kathmandu and Fishguard!
The pic. in the current main article is that put in by the Arun People.

Tan (below) is referring to a cartoon that Swami Shanti has created, which he put on the Sannyas News Caravanserai only, which has a separate web address (http://sannyasnews.org/now/now/) and which can only be accessed there.

I read this with more than average interest.

Because in late 1975 I was travelling to Ireland through Fishguard with Swami Yatindra, a close friend at the time. We were hitchhiking and enjoying 'the road'. We were going to visit a small commune in Eire where my brother then lived, doing early permaculture, and some members of which were interested in Osho.

We had had a good lift, and got to Fishguard well before the boat left.

But suddenly I was woken from a daydream and the sense of well-being that 'just' travelling gave one in those days, when we were both arraigned by the police.

The 'troubles' in Ireland were beginning to gestate as I recall, and we found ourselves sort of arrested after our rucksacks were searched! The reason, because a copy of 'The Silent Explosion' had been found in the top of Yatindra's rucksack.

We were questioned, and Yatindra subjected to a strip search and anal examination...when things calmed down after a few hours or so, they told us the book had been to blame...they thought it was a political book and we could be terrorists allied to the IRA -
an experience allied to that of Arun's more serious detention in Kathmandu around the same year!
