“…the real Buddhas”, eh, Roman? But not, perhaps, if you look into their lives away from playing their undoubtedly brilliant music?
You wouldn’t be a sort of ‘sentimental intellectual’ type who’s prone to […]

Sounds as if you’re a prime candidate for the Blues, Frank…
Can you play guitar or harmonica at all?

“Your words on anger and being rational remind me of Aristotle, the philosopher of common sense. Interesting, since Osho was so critical of Aristotle. By the way, I did say we can be passionate or be in a […]

Well, Roman, of course there can be positive uses of anger, as you outline, but it depends where one is coming from, I guess. I’d imagine (as I don’t know about anyone else, just myself) that well over 90% of […]

Some say there is no way out. This is water. Just this very moment.“Some say”? Maybe they don’t know as much as they think they do?

Ha ha, Rajni, very good choice!
But the Blues arose/arises through suffering, it’s basically the music of slaves, isn’t it? Actual physical slaves in the US of A, and later, now, despite the undoubted artistry, […]

Yes, Roman, it’s raw and honest all right. Rings true, for sure – a sort of death faced by many of us.
But aren’t this and Osho’s two different sorts of “abyss”?
If “happy thoughts don’t make…masters”, then […]

Meditation is ultimately supposed to dissolve our habitual dependence on our thinking minds, isn’t it? So in that respect, meditation and positive thinking are going in opposite directions.

It’s not so much “becoming” anything, Preetam, more a letting-go of all that negative stuff.
That, plus meditation, or rather, a meditative life. For what is a meditative life if it doesn’t imply renouncing […]

Is it really so hard to perceive negativity? How about anger, jealousy, fear, self-contempt, for example?
What chance of finding “highest Truth” if these still prevail in the self?

Maharishi’s TM was my introduction to ‘meditation’ and I enjoyed it, even had one or two memorably ‘expanded consciousness-type’ experiences during the first 10 months or so of practice, in particular while […]

But Roman, why highlight the suffering in Gaza, rather than in any of the other benighted places in the world? Is it due to some anti-American, anti-capitalist agenda?
And if you’re so concerned, why don’t you […]

But Shantam, it is indeed an absurdity for the ‘you’ that thinks it ‘needs enlightenment’ is the very entity that is to disappear in such a phenomenon.
This sort of confusion reminds me of hearing claims like ‘I […]
