Happy to oblige with both the explanation and the quote, swami.

Rebels and misfits found their way to Osho. I am speaking from my own experience. At one time in my life, before taking sannyas, I was an anarchist pacifist who did not fit in. I was arrested for promoting nuclear disarmament. Rebels and misfits are often imprisoned. It seems perfectly logical to me that prisoners in the USA would be drawn to Osho. Here is the quote you requested:

Bong means ‘Wing’ in Cantonese and I have never been incarcerated. Retract this fake news or you might hear from a lawyer under my real name.

I realised enlightenment at age 34 after 30 years of meditation but my story has been told to few and is not like this.

Well, according to Shunyo, while Osho was in Mecklenberg County Jail, Sheriff Kidd took kindly to Osho and said to Shunyo and Vivek, “He (Bhagwan) is an innocent man.” This may have helped.

Osho was also interacting with the the Deputy Chief Samuels, and they were seen to be holding hands together and looking into each other’s eyes.

Apparently, the prison Nurse was also enchanted by Osho, and used to bring Shunyo messages such as, “Your boy ate all his porridge today.”

Also, remember Osho`s trip to Jamaica, Leroy the gardener, “I ain`t never seen nothing like that before”. When encountering Osho.
