soul happens when you vibe with something/someone or do it easily or move with it/them well….

it`s a mistake to think soul a noun or a thing.

Surely, Vartan there’s love (the emotion, with all its ‘normal’ issues of attachment etc., not least its opposite, hate) and Love (the impersonal kind, with no opposite, as realised and embodied in various Masters).

Otherwise, what’s so ‘special’ about them?!

There’s no need to invoke a ‘damaged soul’ to explain relationship issues or psychosis, these are caused by deep-rooted emotional wounds. Leave emotion out of ‘soul’, or as I understand it, Love (capital L), please, otherwise we’re in a right mess.

Love is an emotion. The soul as I described it is (for want of a better word) ‘a mechanism’. People with damaged souls have relationship issues with other people.

Psychotic people are uncomfortable with themselves.

An emotion like love can be directed towards others or towards the self.

This definition of soul sounds like Love (with capital L), Vartan. What do you reckon? If so, it’s not exactly an ‘entity’ though – you know, a sort of ‘thing’ that we’re somehow all supposed to ‘have’, somewhere or other…It’s more a state, isn’t it? So in a way, the word is very likely redundant, or at best, confusing.

As for the psyche, well, that’s where the confusion arises, I guess, between Love and love (small l, emotionally charged, with need, attachment and all that goes with it).

Then there’s Being, isn’t there? With a connecting route to Love (or so I’m told)….

The soul is the part of yourself that connects you with others. The psyche is that part of your yourself that connects you with your self.
