Btw, what happened to my suggestion of a new topic: ‘Football and Gurus’?
It is noticeable that the last two contemporary gurus who have had been referenced on SN,
Ecky Tolle and Sadguru have both expressed their views on the game in their discourses.
Is there a link between the beautiful game and the divine Leela?
Or are these guys just jumping on the popular culture bandwagon in order to get yet more attention,get more bums on seats and shift more units, erm.. I mean….er.. get their vision of a new humanity out to a wider public so as to usher in a new earth and a new yuga?

It raises important questions:
Is non-duality a game of two halves?
Is enlightenment the greatest goal of all time?
Should be VAR be installed in guru`s backstage areas to see if they cross the line?
Is it possible to achieve a meditative state wherein one would experience no difference between the agony and the ecstacy in a penalty shoot-out?
And of course, that perennial question that busies the most ardent footie-fans and devoted spiritual devotees alike: who is the GOAT(Greatest of all time)?

And finally, don`t forget the legendary words of fabled Hindu hardman Vinny Vivekananda, who said: “You will be nearer to Heaven through football than through the study of the Gita.”
To be fair, Gary, he wasn`t wrong.
