I had a good feeling about Maitreya, which I suspect sounds a bit cheesy, but I cant do any better; and I dont care if hes ’'enlightened’’ or not ’'enlightened’’. Mind you I havent cared for a long time, and dont, if Osho is enlightened or isnt. Have never regretted the involvement with him, allthough hasnt always been easy, but then life wasnt before Osho, so there you go!!!!
Ps.
I was also aware while watching Samdarshi of the absence of any need to rationalise paying him attention, by saying hes enlightened. If he isnt, I still warmed to him, and was very drawn to the way his hands move.
I also had a good feeling about Maitreya , which always helps if you come into contact with a master , just because you are open .
He gave me a satori over ten years ago , where it was clearly revealed to me for some time that there is really only one of us in all. And my feeling was that he was clearly focusing putting his energy into opening my mind at that time , when he could see that I was ripe .
I feel okay about God dieux and the Chilean Ma I came across who I had heard was ”enlightened”
I do not feel okay about Brian Rajneesh.
The okay feeling is not dissimilar to that one which goes with striking up a conversation with a complete stranger, in a really warming way, and then they’re gone and we don’t see each other again, but occasionally remember what happened and feel good about it. Happens to me at bus stops or on trains, and once on a coach going to London, and I have just remembered on another occasion striking up a conversation with a guy I showed the way when he was lost.
Re. the last paragraph.
I assume both people involved have a moment of Ego absence
I’ve never felt attracted to Ozen Rajneesh- I have no idea if he is enlightened. But why is he known as ‘Brian Rajneesh’ here?
I met Sandarshi in Maitreya’s house on Ibiza many moons ago. He appeared to me as a fifth rate Osho clone. Maitreya was a friend from the good auld days. Watched him pass through different stages in life. Last time I saw him he carried a strong meditative vibe. On the other side he had some very odd social encounters that were def not buddha like. All this enlightenment about Maitreya seem like a loke to me. I liked the man, is what it comes down to. He was always a bit crazy. He left one of his books at my house. I read it and found it to be a good example of utter shite.
As far as Samdarshi was concerned, I found him to be authentic and genuinely helpful.
But you didn’t say what the antisocial behaviour from Maitreya was, was it something to do with him getting pissed and throwing bottles at people, or holding loud 24 hour techno parties at his house etc.
Nothing to do with any of that. Was a lovely house with James Bond pool. Had to do with Maitreyas trip with someone. Do not wish to gossip about it. He died some time ago and let him RIP out of respect. Om mani padme hum.
Maitreya was staying at the Marina village in Brighton at one point in the late ‘90’s , giving satsang – my friend was given a new name from him. Those luxury flats are expensive at the Marina. I think he may have been staying with a friend because when I phoned up I got an answerphone with an Australian voice which gave a list of about 5 options , some were businesss options , then , the last one: ‘for satsang times with Maitreya, please press 5….’
