I suspect Parmartha was passing personal information about sannyasin friends and acquaintances to the British security service, MI5. I suspect he was doing this for very many years. Doing this regularly was just one of his many ”hats.” No doubt he did this for money, and also for the social housing he was given by the state. If you accept he was working for MI5, a lot that was strange about his behaviour, fits into place. NB It is really difficult for a single man to get social housing in London. You have to be vulnerable to get it. Parmartha could never be described as vulnerable.
No doubt he told MI5 about this site and no doubt it is monitored by the security services.
I suspect Alokjohn is passing personal information to CIA ( Cosmic Intelligence Agency ) , he is doing this for many lives . Doing this regularly was just one of his many ”hats.” No doubt he did this for money, and also for the social housing he was given by the state. If you accept he was working for CIA ( Cosmic Intelligence Agency ), a lot that was strange about his behaviour, fits into place. NB It is really difficult for a single man to get life in the United Kingdom !

I don’t think Parmartha was working for ml5 , Alok. He loved Osho.
Please read these articles by Parmartha and ask yourself if they were written by someone who loved Osho

I still don`t think Parmartha was a spy.
I have read Devageet`s book, which came out since he wrote these articles, and in the book Devageet does make it clear that after each session, he flushed Osho`s body out with pure oxegon which is meant to remove any toxic residue and , that n20 is meant to be safe to use in this manner.
He also wrote that there was several months gap from the sessions where he first introduced the gas to Osho until he next worked on Osho`s teeth.
”Philsopia of Existence” that Parmartha mentions, will be released soon it seems, there has been a preview on Oshonews.
Pure, unadulterated fantasy, Alok, libellous even, if Parmartha were still alive. I wonder why you didn’t confront him with these allegations while he was among us.
I knew Parmartha for 43 years and I know with every fibre of my being that if there’s one person who would never be involved in such treacherous activity it was him. He gave much of his life to Osho, to Sannyas, to sannyasins and to others he knew, worked with and served. No one could be a better, more loyal friend. He was a rare man whose memory does not deserve to be tarnished by such groundless accusations.
Please see the two articles I quote above. In one P says ”he might well have inhaled more than any other known nitrous oxide user over the three periods.” Really? Osho took more nitrous oxide than every teenage drug user in New York or wherever? P was insistent on writing this which defames Osho. I find the two articles very disingenuous and defamatory.
I find it odd that P was given social housing although he was not a vulnerable man.
I find it odd that he was always organising things but rarely participating.
He seemed to have had little interest in meditation. He always spoke of ”sannyas” as if it were a social movement. He seemed to ignore or dislike Osho. As you know Osho was against ”service.” Did P not understand that?
He was also from a police/army family so he might have known how to contact the security services.
Not much point in confronting him when he was alive because he would have had to say no or risk prosecution under the Official Secrets Act. I am not saying he was not a good friend to many. I just think he was capable of compartmentalising his life and sending reports to MI5 as well.

You’re so totally mistaken on all the above counts, Alok, rather astonishingly so for such an intellectually intelligent person as yourself, with so much exposure to Osho over the decades.
You clearly didn’t know the man or the details of his life well enough, as your various claims are simply factually incorrect, absurd even for anyone who actually knew him.
With respect, I honestly think you should look at your own motivation for choosing to think the worst of Parmartha, and what in you has managed to reach such blindingly wayward, some might say even paranoid, conclusions.
Because behind the outer apparent rationality there appears to lurk something in you that you might not have fully become aware of and which therefore might be running the show, causing you to project on to Parmartha what didn’t belong to him. Jealousy, a sense of personal deprivation, perhaps? Or even some sort of resentment of ’authority’? Only you can know, but I suggest that until and unless you become more honest with yourself your judgement of others is bound to be skewed, even very badly, as it is here.
Or is it maybe a conviction that Parmartha didn’t enough revere or even blindly adore Osho, a substitute ’perfect parent’ figure (for you)? Or a combination of these and perhaps other factors?
Actually I just think I know more about the movement that most people. I have read most of Maneesha’s trilogy which no one seems to have read. Also Brecher’s ”A Passage to America.” I do not see how P could have known how much nitrous oxide Osho consumed and it seems to me the two articles I mention were malicious. It is a bit pointless for you to play the amateur therapist in my opinion–as if I had not heard such arguments before!
Kim Wells, investigative journalist and friend of Parmartha for 50 years, has written this highly informative article on the latest ’conspiracy theory’ sending shock waves through the world of Sannyas…
The Man Who Was Thursday Morning’
Rumours that Sergeant …er…Swami Anand Parmartha worked for an alien intelligence service have been discounted by psychic sources known to operate an extra-sensory channel to extra-terrestrials.
More credible stories have surfaced about his being a paid agent of the FWBO, the sinister counter-espionage arm of the Buddhists, as well as being an undercover (not necessarily of the duvet variety) agent of the anti-spiritual squad of the Special Branch, a crack squad of zen-ophobic humanists, trained to sniff out the slightest whiff of universal consciousness or ascending kundalini and on constant alert for the sinister sound of one hand clapping.
It is well known that Swami Parmartha, alias Clive Critchley, alias Kim Philby, alias Baronette Trumpington etc. had many sides to his /her personality and was well known, or rather unknown, as a social chameleon and elusive, shadowy, Gurdjieffian figure of the night that manifested or rather wafted sublimely in the form of many spiritual guises ranging from fakir to nature fairy.
His supernatural lawyers have been alerted to Kremlin-inspired attempts to besmirk his hitherto unblemished reputation and are at this very moment casting spells ..I mean, serving writs and injunctions at a rate that should alarm anyone set on this unwise course.
Please tell me which of my claims are factually incorrect.

Every single one, Alok.
In this you come across as a conspiracy theorist, trying to make a name for yourself or feel ’important’, or something.
Delusion, but you can’t or won’t see it.
For example I said he lived in social housing, but that he was not a vulnerable man. Is this incorrect?
These bare facts are correct, of course, Alok, but what’s totally false is your inference that this might well indicate covert influence from the ’security services’. For your information, it wasn’t that difficult to qualify for a housing association flat in the 1980s, which is when Parmartha moved to his Peabody H.A. home. I have another friend who secured one then also in Archway, and he wasn’t ”vulnerable” either.
Alokjohn, what a load of nonsense. Why would any security service want to monitor a site like SN? I suggest you see a shrink.
Wel,l when I lived in the Amsterdam Commune in the 1980s, I was told the following story. The Dutch Secret Service had sent a spy to infiltrate De Staad Rajneesh. He made so many friends there he eventually felt guilty and told the Commune who he was and apologised. This was before the Rajneeshpuram debacle.
MI5 has a massive budget and gathers information on all dissident groups. I think this would include sannyasins. Following SN would be an inexpensive way to gather quite a bit of intelligence about sannyasins.
There is not much intelligence on SN to be gathered. A few laughs and that is about it.
There is more than you realise. MI5 collects info about anti-establishment movements just in case they start doing things that are illegal. They like to collect databases of names, info about the people etcetera, in order that they have something to work with if the movement goes ”rogue” so to speak.
