I notice in this string that you commend Madhu for the polite way she posted a question to you, and your condemnation of those whose tone on SN is aggressive.

I thought my question to you about your total lack of personal contact with Osho was (although very embarrassing) not impolite. Yet, you have responded by implying that I am a fool or idiot and that I have a “pygmy mind”.

Is this how you will treat Osho lovers when you are finally put in charge of the Resort? Or only those who challenge you?

Please know that Pope Francis and Jesus, Dalai Lama and Buddha all lived many generations apart. Therefore no personal contact was possible. You were with Osho at the same time and place, with him having no knowledge of your existence.

I find that baffling for someone who claims to know what is best for all things Osho.

If there is no obvious reason for pouncing on whoever he deems to be the foe then he will fabricate one in order to maintain his role as SN’s sole policeman, ‘putting people in their place’, a term he has delivered to me, although how he imagines himself as a place putter in the first place, or where that place actually is remains a mystery.

A good example is the following:

Then Arpana comes away with the following:

This makes it sound like I was comparing myself to Osho, which is absurd. Yet, this is not the first time he has said this sort of thing as if it were a fact rather than some weird projection that he uses me to project on, because there is no way on earth I would compare myself to Osho. There is no need and I simply cannot relate to such a preposterous notion.

Further along the thread Arpana comes away with the following: “Shantam, you really need to try and understand the meaning of projection.”
Talk about the pot calling the kettle black. Just like writing about being addicted to SN and not seeing his own part in it he does the same with the concept of projecting…it’s always someone else who is doing it, never him.

Arpana pounces on another commentator. They stand up for themself. Arpana labels them as being defensive.

If Arpana has it in for another commentator, or he does not agree with their point of view, that person is projecting.

For me, Arpana represents what happens when a person is given psychological tools at a point in their life, when those tools come in very handy in terms of coping and dealing with the complex world of social interaction.

Nothing lasts for ever and some tools lose their power with the passage of time, or else they simply become obsolete or, as in Arpana’s case, they become something to be abused…instead of being used on oneself they are used on others to inflict harm, or simply needle people. I think most of the regulars here on SN are aware of these things. I see no harm bringing them into focus.

I have often felt that a certain section of the sannyasin community has become complacent, smug with where they got to thanks to Osho. Such an attitude leaves one prone to stagnation. If you want a picture of how that looks, look no further than Amrito in the photo that makes up part of this thread’s article. The man looks ridiculous. CEO of what exactly? The Burgundy Pyjama Club? It’s a fucking joke.

And that is how stupid we make ourselves look if we are based in what once was. Fucking stagnant! If you want to stay fresh life is always at its most vibrant round about here and now, learning new ways to interpret life, being open to receiving new tools that will help us on our journey. If you want to stagnate, do not change, keep relating to others the way you always have, if someone disagrees tell them its a projection and if someone tells you that you are fucked up…well, they are just being defensive.
