That's no metaphor, it's an analogy!

8 years in the SN 6th form and you make such a rudimentary error...I'm tempted to pass you on to Shantam's Academy for Hopeless Cases for some private tuition...

Yes, er...well..on second thoughts...perhaps not....

Yes, Arpana, there is more - moment to moment...for example, that "change is all that is"...and also lots of hints in every one of the hexagrams re some important issue you yourself brought in at the very beginning here of this thread topic-chat, dealing as well with the ´tyranny of structurelessness´, but more the ancient Chinese way, not the way of some scoring feminst-anti-feminist scientific revelations of nowadays.

Much broader the view of this in the I Ching as counselling agent or oracle, and in its role of reminding.

And as the soil needs some gardening skills, if we want to culture it, human communication needs that as well.

Madhu

P.S:
How can we become natural and playful AND yet playing ´communication´, not in a way together with any war resembling attitudes?

A Quest - not only for individuals but also for groups and collective intelligence or vice versa, to consider the danger of utter collective stupidity and not rarely, collective cruelty.

The collective Intelligence, as also considering collective Emotional Intelligence of living together, are parts of the I Ching. That´s what I love about it.
