I have looked at these notes from ‘Anand’ on this page again and, over the gap of years, I would guess that they are not authentic. Most of the text appears borrowed from ‘Notes of a Madman’. Osho wouldn’t have been calling his doctor ‘Raj’ by 1989 either. He was renamed Amrito by Osho by then. Along with a number of name changes of others physically close to him (Vivek:Nirvano, Chetana:Shunyo, etc.).

I would guess the ‘blue om’ was copied from Shunyo’s book, ‘My Diamond Days With Osho’, where she mentions Osho talking about seeing the blue om in a dental session. Still, Anando has recently mentioned in her new book ‘Intimate Glimpses’ that Osho has asked her to another book out of his dental notes so who knows.

Martyn, here is a wee relevant copy and paste from my first book.

From an early age the children on Iona had it drummed into their heads by their elders that they were Scottish and that they should be proud of it. They were also brainwashed into believing that Scotland was the country, above all others, that had been the birthplace of many creative geniuses, who had given the world almost everything of practical importance, including the Bank of England and the United States Navy. What the children were never told was that the Chinese invented whisky, haggis was a sausage cooked up by the ancient Greeks, tartan became popular after different regiments in the English army began creating their own designs during the early 1900s, bagpipes came from Central Asia and that porridge had been eaten by Scandinavians three-thousand years before kilts were first worn by the Irish, who colonized Scotland in the fifth century A.D. and gave the country its name.

Kavita, you leave the lads in the dust when it comes to pure nuttiness. I just had a look at some of the comments you wish to have delated. You are drawing attention to them by asking for them to be delated. Why, for instance, would you wish to bother someone with delating this...'and she came from afghanistan . . wandering all the way
to Poona . . :)' It is so inoffensive. Only thing I find strange about it is what it actually means,(not entirely unusual for your comments) but I'm not really interested to find out. I am curious to know what it is that you see in your comments that makes you wish for them to disappear. Please explain and if you do I'll give the prefix....fair exchange etc.

Bubbie it is a traditional for the Scots to hate the English(Sassenachs). This goes back to the time of the highland clearances when the highland clans were wiped out by land-grabbing southerners and their mercenary armies. Ethnic cleansing as they say in modern times.
The English are seen as two-faced. They hide behind their manners(sorry) and then shoot you in the back etc. This attitude still prevails in Scotland to this day. I left Scotland over 40 years ago and have not really lived there since. There is something that can bug me about the English, but I have that with the Germans and the Scots and the Americans and just about every other nationality you care to mention. The thing is, I'm married to a German and I have many English friends. Conclussion: it's all bullshit. I think it is true that nationalism is the last refuge to which a scoundrel turns.
