The quote above is not solution-oriented, a complete failure of source perception...and just about sums up why, on balance, meditation in a cubicle on Mount Athos or some resort swimming pool might just be the only solution...

I reckon the journalist was looking for somewhere different to chill out whilst covering his main report:'Indian prime ministers and how off-beat, funky and just plain crazeeee they really are and how they love to hang out being nice dudes when not namasteing in bookshops'.

Friends and fellow-travellers, including 'editors´, ´moderators´ and peeping-in internet-users:

To switch from the last thread to this one deserves the word "bizarre" for me too, very much so.
I read the report from Mr. Karnikowksy in Osho News days (?) ago. Maybe he is a 'Guardian' journalist, but his tongue is one like from these 'Silicon Valley' Californian workplaces where work and entertainment, including all that the wellness-industry has meanwhile to offer in these work-places for the second life make-up (fake-up) like the first.

I have not been in Pune since 1990 - so I don´t know.

But what I felt reading and feel re-reading his lines, I know -
and if this kind of stuff should be having had the intention of some advertising (inviting) flavour, it didn´t reach me at all.

So sorry,

Madhu

PS:
And I am not at all against beauty and luxury, even if I can´t afford it.

It's something else here that is missing: aliveness, a heart of a happening.

I remember faintly that this journalist then headed off soon to some other place,
so misunderstandable the whole thing.

So sorry....
