"The rebel sannyasins holding a closed-door meeting in Koregaon Park on Thursday, expressed hope that a time will come soon when they will be allowed to enter the Osho Samadhi (which is in the Resort), without having to to remove prayer beads and wear only a particular kind of robe."

1. When the orange clothes were dropped in '85, Osho was asked about the mala. He said you should only wear it when meditating at home. I think there is a video discourse where Osho says this.

2. In the summer of '89, Osho set up the robe rules for the Resort; maroon during the day, white at night.

SD,
I don`t think you will get much sense out of this Yogi guy.

I must admit, I thought he might be genuinely clinically insane or even a spoof, but having read Arun`s comments about Modi and the future of religion and politics in India in the new thread, I can see that he is simply for real.
Spooky!

Don't you appreciate the open-hearted offer I'm suggesting, Mr Anand Yogi? Calling me a "baboon" and likening my considered proposals for ameliorating the current dire state of Sannyas Politics to slicing through liquid excrement with a razor blade hardly constitutes a conciliatory response, does it? No, it is nothing but sheer, manipulative 'monkey business'.

I am proposing offering you and your ilk an Olive Branch - yet you throw it back in my face - and, no doubt, on the floor as well - as if I were offering you a mere banana! (And, may I remind you, bananas are very good for the body, just see how many are soon to be publically consumed at Wimbledon, for example).

I urge you to reconsider - otherwise the good offices of those like myself might well metamorphose into something quite 'different'...And then the diarrhoea would truly swamp the Razor Blade - bananas or no bananas.

The Choice is yours, a very simple one:
Eat the bananas (there are several ripe ones) on offer - or, 'Go Bananas' and, inevitably, be forced to sweep them up.

Do you understand what I am getting at, sir?

Re banana wisdom...

"Existence is hilarious. If you have eyes to see the hilarious points you will be surprised. Everybody is slipping on banana peels. You just need a little insight to see."

The way Osho has written the final chapter of his work before leaving the body and the way it was followed by the management till the end of last century, chances of ambiguity were minimum.

Now it is all mess.

Somewhere I am doubtful mystery will ever be created again in Pune. Whether Indian or westerns; both are showing their narrow-mindedness.

Maybe it is the effect of too many books, too many discourses; when knowledge is used as wisdom we don´t eat Bananas, we slip on them.

Shantam,
This obsession with breasts and other female body-parts is severely hampering your journey to enlightenment!

And you say "My heart bleeds for poor Jayesh and Amrito".
That is your mind speaking!
Drop it!

Your mind is now having doubts about the Osho`s vision that you have worked hard, from your chair, to achieve!
Do not give up now,at this, the moment of our greatest victory!
Do not let your monkey mind disrupt the unstoppable force of enlightenment!
Surrender to the unstoppable force of enlightenment that will be sweeping through the generations of lineages!

Remember well the saying:
"When monkey wears turban, it will certainly fall off!"

And pay no attention to this fool Satyadeva, with the name of an Indian but the mind of a western baboon!
His logic is sharp, but when he uses it to try to understand life, the effect is only of a razor blade swishing through diarrhoea!

Of course, all disciples are welcome, but you, like Parmartha, in your good-heartedness, simply do not understand how the game will be played in Pune.

Yes, all disciples are equally welcome.
But some are more equally welcome than others!

Jai!Jai!

Yet, don't you think the "over-zealous" fanatics - Anand Yogi being a prime example - should somehow be included in any true representation of the Sannyas diaspora, Shantam? For after all, history demonstrates, does it not, that such extremists are excluded from recognition, from acknowledgement, at the risk of highly dangerous - even indeed, catastrophic consequences - for the more sensible 'moderates'? I mean, just look at contemporary Iraq and Syria, contemplate Al Qaeda, the Versailles Treaty of 1918 - and, too close to home for comfort for you, the appalling scenario at the Golden Temple...No need at all to labour the point!

My feeling is, Anand Yogi might well be the tip of a rather sinister neo-radical Iceberg that threatens to 'tip over' the Sannyas Movement, possibly even in similar fashion to the Titanic itself! If we don't want to be swallowed up in the freezing cold Ocean of such zealotry, then realistically, there's only one option:

Co-opt Mr A. Yogi and his Crew into the mainstream, allow him and them at least a voice at the Top Table, dowse his fire with 'sweet reason', laced with the calming balm of Oshoic compassion, via his more seemly channels, including yourself, Shantam, and those of similar bent.

My situation has become like a medical student who wanted to become plastic surgeon to do breast implantations but became gastroenterologist.

When I hear or read the Arun and Rajneesh fanatics, my heart bleeds for poor Jayesh and Amrito. Somewhere I think with people like Anand Yogi around, one really feels Patriarch is dead and the over-zealous are hell bent to turn Osho´s ashram into some kind of Hindu subsidiary.

My own understanding is Arun and Rajneesh are fighting for a Nobel cause like many others, it is out of their gratitude for master but little dicks around them are too over-zealous.

Osho´s last wish was to run the commune ( Amrito´s voice one can hear in thousands of discourses as introduction, "Talks given at Osho Commune International Pune India".) by group of 20 people who are dedicated disciples and have no other interest other than Him.

So in a way, if inner Circle member goes to some other teacher/master he ceases to be part of management team. Similar interpretation was, if you are awake, what the hell you are doing here? Though one can modify this tradition a bit to, "You are welcome as disciples."
