SD- how about using the name “africanized” -since our human bodies supposedly originated from Africa and therefore the greed we all have either alive or buried in us all should be named from its point of origin.. so using the word “west” is incorrect.

HR, ancient Greece and Rome are early co-creators (one might say) of the foundations of the prevailing western mentality.

But it’s not really so much about geographical location, rather a ‘state of mind’, a psychological orientation. Calling it ‘East’ or ‘West’ happens to be convenient, that’s all.

Mostly the written expressions create some kind of thoughts in readers. So when I read something, few words simply take the form. This is nothing extra ordinary, if we know how to write, it is easier than to formulate the feelings in words.

So with this background, I wish to say, I have not included Satya Deva in my post about goody goody people. If words are the indications, he is one of the most balanced writer at this site. Surely he has his own limitations in vision like all of us, including those past present and future enlightened ones and so called one, who think themselves as navel of the world.

the “west” is not all consumption,; just partly so.. nobody forced India to adopt the West’s capitalism, same with China; these countries have been ravaged by your so-called “All consumption” ways before the West existed.. try reading your history… read about ancient Greece and Rome too, while you’re at it.. “All- consumption” is a human problem, and for you the West is a convenient scapegoat.

If you mean to include me in the category you outline in your first paragraph, Shantam, then I should tell you that it’s not a matter of ‘seeing the good in everybody’ etc., it’s more impersonal than that nonsense, it’s simply a question of standing up for a basic principle of justice.

Perhaps you prefer to align yourself with those who give prime value to hearsay, rumour, innuendo and their natural outcome, when unchecked, the rule of the selfishly emotion-driven, wilfully unintelligent, unprincipled mob? (Amongst which, even certain of the ‘enlightened’ – well, one anyway – are numbered, it appears).

I feel envy with people, who are so nice, they never condemn anything and any body. They have the capability to see good in every being. They have the quality to see humanness even in the dictators.

Apart from, like Sw Ozen, jumping the gun and prematurely assuming guilt, again your outrage is laughable.

You might wish it were otherwise, but since when was Osho’s movement ever ‘respectable’? It’s been up to its neck in controversy, shady dealing and worse for decades.

Wake up, get real, Shantam. This wish to be seen as ‘whiter-than-white’ by the world is, in its way, almost as corrupt as the alleged ‘crime’ you’re enjoying condemning.

It is utterly shameful, disgusting, ugly that Osho movement which was suppose to change the course of rivers is falling on the similar gutter tracks..

Power corrupts and it can corrupt meditators even worse as their cushy ego feels superior to all.

When you walk on the water, you can pee also on it without closing the door!
