A joke for you…

Hamish MacTavish and his wife Maggie have never been flying, so at the local Air Show they decide to take a ride in a small open aircraft.
They are just climbing into the back of the plane when the pilot asks for the fare, which is twenty pounds.
"Twenty pounds?" screams MacTavish, "That is ridiculous, it is far too much!"
"Okay," says the pilot, "I will make a deal with you. If you can complete this ride without opening your mouth I won't charge you a penny. But if you make a sound you pay me double!"
Hamish agrees, and they take off. As soon as they are in the air, the pilot starts to loop the plane, flies upside down, sideways, and gives a whole display of aerobatics.
When they land again, the pilot says over his shoulder, "Well sir, you win. I never thought you would be able to go through all that without opening your mouth!"
"It was not easy," admits MacTavish, "especially when my wife fell out!"

That is exactly the problem — thinking about reincarnation theory. All that is confabulation by too many minds.

It seems to me we are part of Existence, like the waves are part of the sea. Just as our bodies are recycled to become part of the earth again, so our minds and souls too are part of the great whole. We arise, and eventually return to just simple Being, like a musical string expressing a note and returning to silence. This much is clear just from looking at the world around us.

I feel Osho was wise to say, take nothing seriously. I hope when my time comes to go out with a great belly laughter.

Satchit, you are absolutely correct.
Shantam never actually met Osho, yet he believes he knows the man, when he does not.

Charismatic Indian gurus are the perfect screens to not only project positive vibes onto, but also the negative.

The idea that we project ourselves onto others is fundamental to understanding the human condition. Reading Shantam's mundane rants about Osho leads me to conclude that Shantam doesn't understand his own negative shadow. He probably imagines it does not exist. Yet he constantly projects his shadow onto Osho. The following is a good example:
"If R J Osho had studied Psychology, his tongue-based oratory would not have been that long, that superficial as sermons of Indian priests!"
This statement is strictly for the numpties in the class. Take "tongue-based oratory": Oratory is the skilful and effective public speaking in formal situations. How could it be anything other than tongue-based? Poor Shantam fell out of his pram as a baby, cracked his helmet and has been talking nonsense ever since.

Before this life? Next life? As Ramesh Balsekar said: "Who Cares?"

My body spent 40 minutes in a small tube today while the MRI machine took pictures of a kidney. It is possible I won't live to 80, but it has been a full, rich (not monetarily!), and adventurous life.

Osho gave me the name Samarpan, which means surrendered. Unlike the English word "surrender"—which can imply being conquered, forced, or giving up out of fear—Samarpan (a state of being surrendered) arises voluntarily from trust, love, and devotion.

There is only gratitude for having known Osho and having travelled with him for 45 years.

Death is the natural end of duality. No regrets. No fears. Only gratitude!

Was reminded of a Premchsnd story which was taught in school,
'Pagal Hathi'('The Mad Elephant') is a well-known children's short story by the legendary Hindi-Urdu author Munshi Premchand.

Synopsis in English

• The Elephant Moti: The story centers on Moti, a massive and intelligent elephant who belongs to the royal stable of a king (Raja Saheb). Moti is normally gentle, obedient, and clever.

• The Sudden Madness: Occasionally, Moti's temper flares up, and he goes into a state of blind frenzy. During these episodes, he loses all sense of reason and refuses to obey his mahout (elephant keeper).

& The story till now....

MOD:
What's the point of the final line, please, Kavita?
Kavita:
MOD, I left a little room for some wondering, if possible!
